Honestly, this is the most complete video game ever created. The graphics were before it's time and the storyline was like that of a next gen role playing game. There certainly hasn't been a better fighter released since this and it might just be the best video game of all time. I was going to say Grand Theft Auto 3 and World of Warcraft have changed the industry more than this but in an artistic scope, this was the perfect video game.

I can name 3 fighters off the top of my head that was better than Soul Calibur.

Bruh unless u naming Marvel vs Capcom 2 then you off your fuccin rocker. I only say MvC2 cuz of it's massive popularity and rarity for the Dreamcast port. It's not a better game than Soul Calibur but it's close.

Tastsonoku (sp) vs. Capcom
all better and more revolutionary than Soul Calibur. Don't get me wrong Soul Calibur is still a good fighting game even in todays market, But it's not THE best fighter ever. Hell naw -

Word. That may be the worst street fighter since 1 (main game please dont bring in all that other ? )
Its still an awesome game but it aint touching 3 at all.
And SC is close to the perfect game ? . -
Soul Caliber's intro was worse than Soul Blade's intro which might be the best fighting game intro of all time. That knocks it down in my book.
My fave SFs were the Alpha/Zero series, especially 3. 3s I liked but didn't love, played it for years. SFIV was incomplete, but with Makoto in SSFIV, my life is complete again -

Dog I am nice in all the SF's.
I can actually compete with the nerds with thier own coustom arcade pads. You know..the ones that would destroy you. I can get a round in or even win once out of 3/4 so against ? I brutalize.
It aint better than any other SF past SFII Turbo. -

but yes u right, sony revolutionised gaming...nintendo and sega played bit parts in the 32bit and 64bit generation of gaming.
i'll giv the n64 its due props for having 3 good games tho. -
