been thinkin its time to get a slim ps3
mine ps3 be heatin up the whole room if its on for more than 1.5 hours -
Get an xbox. Mine is quiet as ? .

The Slim ones make popping noises when they heat up. lol

consoles have cheap cooling systems...well i don't know about the new xbox remodel

I've had my 80GB fatboy PS3 since 2008. It makes the same noises, but it never gave me any problems thus far.
Now when I think about it, my laptop AND my desktop make that same noise. I think it just stems from the systems cooling themselves down. -

sounding like a jet plane. Guess it depends on how much you play on it.
