Today I will be buying a new (used) car because other car died on me. I literally drove till the wheels came off. But now I am looking at two cars, a 2008 Chevy Impala or a 2008 Toyota Camry.
The Impala is a V6 with leather and wood grain with low miles and all of the factory warranty.
The Camry is a V4 with cloth seats and only the powertrain warranty (it has a 1000 miles left for the bumper to bumper) And it is also higher than the Impala by $1000.
I have made my mind up but I was wondering if anyone else on this site have these cars.
Note: I have compared other cars and I have both carfaxes. I also have test drove both. I am paying cash so that is why the price is a issue.

Go with the Camry. I had an Impala. Mechanically, ? was trash. All other Impala owners I know said the same thing. Had to trade that ? in for a Nissan Altima.

the camry looks better imo.
-
extended warranty on both.

extended warranty on both.
I cant do that. 1000 more for the extended warranty is too much especially because I will pay cash. As long as the powertrain is good I am good. -
camry is a ? car son

Well it looks like neither. I was about to buy the Impala but they wouldnt come down $500. ? it!
The Camry is out of the question because I am not riding anything older than 3 years. So I guess it will be something smaller for now!
I vow to not have any payments. Straight cash!
I am looking at a 2008 Toyota Corolla S and a 2010 Nissan Sentra SEL both are certified and still under the warranty.
I am also keeping my eye out for foreign full size. All the American cars have powertrain problems.
Thanks for your opinion! -
Impala because its stronger car....the older years had some nice models, I don't know the models in future...but good luck in choosing.

Impala all day
Bought a 2007 Impala SS last year....wood grain, heated seats, 18 inch rims, a V8 engine (sucks on gas, but that low rubble make ? jealous) and it push 300 horse power -
The Camary is nice, but Imapla...I heard is a stronger car. Having both cars hooked up will look cool in a show of import turners....
