Howcome Paul Heyman got let go by WWE and TNA?

Every time Heyman has been given the book, he has produced money-making new stars, ratings-getting feuds, and hot selling PPV's. Moreso in WWE than TNA, but you get my point. The guy makes money for his associates.

So why do they let him go?

    Less than 24 hours after the pay-per-view (december to dismember 2006), WWE announced on their official website that Vince McMahon had sent Heyman home, citing "slumping television ratings and a disgruntled talent roster as causes for Mr. Heyman’s dismissal". Heyman and McMahon clashed on the plane to the North Charleston Coliseum. After a producers' meeting, Heyman was escorted from the Coliseum and sent home. Heyman was also immediately pulled from ECW's creative team. McMahon was attempting to put the blame on Heyman for the poorly received pay-per-view, and after a meeting with Vince and Stephanie McMahon, Heyman legitimately left World Wrestling Entertainment but remained under contract. Heyman was against Lashley being booked to win the ECW Championship, however, McMahon stated that fans would be happy to see a new champion and a 10-minute celebration.] In an early 2008 interview with The Sun, Heyman stated how he would have booked the Elimination Chamber main-event, which included having Punk enter first and quickly eliminating the Big Show via submission. According to the interview, McMahon disliked the idea, but Big Show liked the direction Heyman was heading, and was eager for the opportunity to "make" a rising star like Punk. Heyman also stated that he kept going to McMahon on the night of the pay-per-view to say that "The people are going to throw this back in our face"

    The wiki entry is a semi-truth

    the issue goes waaaaay back to the OVW days and even before that, when Heyman was booking Smackdown. The main enemy of Heyman has always been Stephanie McMahon. So if Stephanie doesn't like ya, then Vince doesn't like ya.

    Stephanie has never been a fan of Heyman's "booking style" aka building new talent. I'm pretty sure many of you have heard that if the WWE doesn't make ya, then you're ? in their eyes. And Stephanie saw that Heyman can make a superstar overnight, but everyone would know who made that guy, and it wouldn't be the WWE. So Stephanie hated on dude since Day 1.

    While he was managing Brock Lesnar, he was also booking Smackdown. Of course you all remember one of Smackdown's most memorable moments when Brock superplexed Big Show and the ring collapsed, classic Heyman booking. He ? made Zach Gowan a likable character. Stephanie saw how Heyman's booking was received by the fans and the lockerroom, hated him even more and took him off the books and sent him to OVW.

    While in OVW, Heyman's booking created such a buzz, that they were selling out shows, with lines around the corner. Many said it was like going to the ole Bingo Hall again. Heyman creates a vibe that the WWE can not. Heyman liked CM Punk and wanted to push him and did so by having him win the OVW TV tournament "while injured" to win him more fanfare. Heyman put on sellout show after sellout show, something the WWE didn't do for their development facility, and Stephanie hated him, so she removed him from booking.

    After that, they told him that they were going to revive ECW and wanted him to "run it". He thought ECW was going to be his again, and we all saw how that ended. It was all a lie, a rouse to get ECW over with the fans and to draw back the original ECW fans to watch because all of the original talent was back. Once ECW got off the ground, they wiped their ass with Heyman and dumped him.

    It had nothing to do with slumping ratings and poor PPV buys. That was WWE's fault for getting strong-armed by Sci Fi to implement ? into the show. Then when Vince started interfering with the ideas of Heyamn and dragging current RAW and Smackdown storylines into the ECW show, that ? failed. Then of course, they blamed Heyman for that, he left, and the rest is history.

    But I can't believe Vince wouldn't like the money Heyman could bring in.

    that's because he has an opinion and airs out their ? . everyone else knows their role and shuts their mouths.

    Vince could care less about what $$ Heyman can bring in on some booking ? , because regardless if Heyman is there or not, Vince is still going to bank

    They had a good professional relationship with Heyman for a long time, though. They had a cross-promotion going on when ECW was still alive. That's why RVD was Mr. Monday Night.

    ? , WCW had a professional relationship with ECW first. They sent Cactus Jack and a slew of others to ECW when they had nothing for them in WCW. Then WCW started stealing Heyman's ideas and talent, starting first with the Luchadores. When it started to hurt ECW a little, Vince stepped in, invested 500K into ECW, and used ECW for his semi-developmental territory. Then when Heyman couldn't pay back, Vince started raiding his talent once the Monday Night Wars started to affect the WWF's bottomline.

    That whole ECW invasion of RAW was promotion for ECW, though many in the country couldn't see it anyway; but it really was to boost ratings for RAW on the East coast because ECW fans would tune in to watch. Once WCW had their issues, Vince took the opportunity to offer contracts to the top ECW talent, something he knew Heyman couldn't match because he was broke and the company in debt, and he took control over Monday nights and eventually wrestling once Turner sold WCW off.

    Vince is a businessman and a shark. When he smells blood, he's going to make nice with you first, then bite you.

    Well everybody summed up Heyman's time in WWE but he never joined TNA. If I'm correct, Heyman was in talks with Dixie to come over to TNA but, he wanted too much power and control. I think The Sun had an interview w/him explaining what he wanted to do over there amd basically, he wanted to get rid of Hogan, Flair, Bischoff, & Vince Russo and wanted total creative control of the tv tapings. He also wanted all in ring talent over 40 gone and he wanted to start a youth movement.

    Bottomline Dixie didn't want to pay him nor give him what he asked for on a creative standpoint so the deal went south. It's funny she would give Flair, Hogan, Bischoff top dollar contracts and they haven't done ? to improve the TNA product. Hogan don't even show up to the creative meetings but, she wouldn't give Heyman a deal to completely turn TNA product around.

    Dixie is a starstruck wrestling fan with the money to do with her company as she pleases. And apparently someone got in her ear and told her not to hire Heyman, even with his positive track record. Heyman is a true asset that is not respected for whatever reason we as wrestling fans may never know. He can run your company from a creative standpoint, you just have to keep him away from the finances.

    That's the problem shes a fan in a CEO's position but I bet if daddy stopped pouring money into the fuckery known as TNA she would be out of a job and TNA would be out of business. Heyman is gold from a creative standpoint but I wouldn't let him anywhere near company finances.

    nah, he was under WWE contract, so he couldn't do anything with or for TNA.

    Heyman has been working on side projects and production stuff in Hollywood and around the world since he left the WWE back in 07/08.

    im pretty sure paul heyman got a lil money,
    and i think he can get some type of a loan from investors

    so the real question is why wont paul heyman start his own fed???

    Heyman is not a businessman, he's a creative genius. He has a thing for not letting people take over their duties if he started the whole thing. He'll run that promotion into the ground financially as well.
