Any SOCOM heads in here? thinking about getting this. Got the beta code from KZ3 but that ? doesn't work yet and I'm pretty ? aboout it. Played Confrontation and besides the hate it got I kinda liked it..Never played any other SOCOM games so I don't know what to expect from Zipper...

Socom 2 ( before the code 9 and cheaters ) is hands down no contest the greatest game i've ever played.
I've easily played over 100 hours on that game.
I've playd every socom , still play that slant 6 ? from time to time , the cold front DLC and everything.
but Socom 4 won't be the same
there's no pistols
no gernade arc ( unlike other socom games. socom gamers know the curved line that shows where you're throwin )
there's ranked respawn..

I dont care about socom.. they ? that up in the last Beta . I always heard it was this great game.. but the Beta i can speak for alot of heads and OG heads from PS2 days they couldnt ? with it..
With that said i have the beta code and ill use it and check it out.. -

lol I think it still runs to this day, they wont ever close the Socom 2 servers

yep. they're doing 2 " main " weapons.
so you can carry a shotgun and a sniper , a machine and a sniper , shotgun and a sub machine , ect. -

oh that not even real Socom, it was made by a PSP developer.
Zipper is making this, they made Socom 1-2 -

So, I just played the MP beta and....yeah....first impression is that this ? is trash. This ? spawn system makes Black Ops look great. My character literally died after respawning not a second later; It was like spawn, die smh. I'm not feeling the movement at all; ? feels stiff and ? you up when you are walking past walls/entrances. I'm bout to spend some more time on it and get more familiar with it, then give my second impression.
Oh yeah, install is on that MAG ? and takes ? ' forever.
EDIT:
You can't switch from left to right shoulders, the respawn takes to long (6-7 secs), they turn slow as ? , you can't go into cover smoothly, it's like a delay..... -

Private beta was last Tuesday, PS+ started yesterday. If you bought KZ3 and have the code, it starts next Tuesday. For everyone else, it's 4/5 - like 2 weeks before the game release which means that all the problems in the beta won't be addressed after after launch.
Game is ? anyway. ? is funny because you hear mofos jump in the match with mics saying the exact same thing, then quitting. -
i hope they can recover from SOCOM Confrontation...........I'm def lookin forward to this.....i'll probably be disappointed though

hearing alot of people are disappointed....people say they just want a confrontation 2.....meh....Ill have to give it a go myself

Second (or third impression) of SOCOM 4 - I just upgraded this from trash to not bad.
-Server is good; No real connection issues whatsoever - I only encountered lag once and it was only for about 30-60 seconds. They have something call mods - as you get more kills with a weapon, you're able to upgrade it with better attachments (red dot, ACOG, suppressor, etc)
Biggest issues with the game is:
- the clunky movements at times
- aiming needs to be tightened up just a bit but it's good for the most part (you can still zoom in and take on a FPS view, but this will get you killed in close range situations a lot of the time)
- not being able to shoulder your weapon from left to right
- spawn deaths where you spawn then immediately die
- the spawn times - I'd prefer if it didn't take 6 seconds to respawn, but it's not as bad as the other issues. -
its a 6/10 judging from the beta
my only major problem is the camera. it's so close it's barely third person.
but Zipper already said they're gonna move it back.
if they do that it'll be a strong 7 or 8 / 10 for me. -
