Uhm yes. Its just sex. But i see things a bit different because I believe in polyamory, my only rule is he cant get emotionally involved with her and if he thinks he wants to then she has to be a good fit for both of us to become emotionally involved with. -

I dnot think it's viewed as a "pass", like someone is 'getting away' with something
My understanding is that it's just a s/o communicating a desire, and as long as the other person agrees to the parameters and context in which the scenario happens it's all good
I think it's more about not viewing sex as the price of admission for devotion -

my freind recently disclosed to me that her marriage was open. i was like damn, girl men or women? and she said it didn't matter. whatever floats your boat. i'd rather have an open relationship than an open marriage, i really don't see the point of marriage if u plan on ? other people whenever you feel like it.

I can't say it would trip me out too much. Most folks have lived it to a certain extent. It just ends badly when one person starts catches feelings. Or just does some foul ? to disrupt the role. But I imagine two people that were on the same page could definitely pull it off. I'd be impressed more than anything.
