i dont know if this is regional but the movie store, like a walk in Blockbuster, is all but extinct to me. where you gettin your movies from now?

those redboxes selection suck, blockbuster has their own little bluebox version with a few more movies. still sucks though and i cant remember to return them so their "$1 a night" usually runs me about $15 when i remember weeks later

ondemand movies is the same wack selection.

at the moment i have a cheapass 1 disc at a time netflix deal. although they do get delivered fast.

where you gettin movies now?

at 1 dollar a rental i was wondering how these boxes would make money,
but then when you factor in no hourly employess, light bills or building costs,,,,,you got major profits

i honestly dont see anything wrong with redbox selections.
they have everything upon release plus a few low budget val kilmer,50 cent & cuba gooding movies.

? ,they even got some gems that i would have never heard of like The Experiment wit adrien broady & forrest whitaker and Ca$h,
also A Prophet, which was prolly the best movie of the year

and if its something you jus cant find,
    torrents are your friend

    kickasstorrents dot com that its

Netflix and I buy the movies I really love. Like I'll buy the 3rd Batman movie to complete my trilogy.

I pretty much use Netflix for movies I haven't seen. If I'm buying them I'll usually go to Best Buy, Amazon or local places.

A lot of the corporate BlockBusters are closing down. They are in the process of closing a second one in my neighborhood and everything is like 50% off. The franchise stores are surviving and feeding off the closing stores by taking in some of their inventory if the franchiser chooses to do so.

I haven't gotten into the Redbox, even though I have a membership and they send my free rental texts about twice a week. BB usually get the movies about a month before RB and NF does, so I'll stick with them until the casket drops. I do the 3 at a time with unlimited store exchanges because BB has the old movies and rare joints that I don't want to pay money for.

I also have Nextflix, 3 at a time. Been doing both BB and NF for about 5 years now. And I make backups of every movie I come across, so my collection is about 10,000 strong over the years of renting and buying here and there.

my last resort if BB and NF are out because their copies are too ? to watch, is buying them cheap from eBay and Amazon. I've bought movies from both for 1cent at times. ? shops tend to overprice movies, so I haven't bought anything from those establishments.

Too bad BB had to go down like that. If they went ahead with the RedBox concept years ago when they were warned that it was the future, they would have had cornered the market before someone else took it. Too old in their thinking to go along with new concepts. Those old heads are now wondering what the hell happened. Also, no one was interested in buying overpriced and stale candy and soda from there when there are 7-11s with better deals right next to them.

if it's a movie i'm not sure about i'll download and watch

if it's a movie i'm pretty sure i'll enjoy i just buy it. if not new like at Best Buy then the Amazon marketplace or ebay, worse case scenario i'll give it away or throw it in the trash. $8-15 ain't ? for a movie i'll spend a lot more going to the theatre like back in the day.

Lmfao!@ your avi. Looks like a Dragon Ball Z character

Netflix is the best thing ever. Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos around my way are history. I used to always mess with Family Video which they still around and well for now.

    I ? with Netflix.
but they really need to step up their selection of stream films & minimize the wait for new releases.
