Man I saw that ? with my girl, that ? was mad disappointing. Some sad, women abuse, ? emotional depressing ? . Movie was so depressing my girl almost didn't wanna ? when I brought her home SMH.

The only good thing about the movie was the action parts. Since it was made by the people from 300 and The Watchmen I ran to see it, they fooled my black ass good. I can't remember the last time I felt like I wasted my money on a movie.

    the critics were right

It looked silly to me. Not interested. But this year so far has been lackluster so it's got some company.

I'm trying to see Insidious today though. Hopefully it will a solid 6 or else I'm gonna be mad.

Besides Mark Kermode I don't listen to critics anymore but I did think this would suck. All of Snyder's movies sucked and I couldn't forgive him for that monstrosity that was Watchmen. I can't believe guys like this get big movie projects what's going on in Hollywood?

LOL, dude ripped the ? out the film earlier, classic Kermode rant style. Edit: found the full review/rant:

Hearing how ? it is actually makes me want to see it now. Me and my mate were out earlier getting wasted, bumped into some Irish girls who just came from the cinema after seeing it and they both said it was utter ? ... then we got their numbers

Just seen it... what a load of utter ? . People really think this film is good? A weak story, ? acting (apart from Sweet Pea) and a load of action that gets boring fast and ultimately adds up to nothing. Yeah, and how can this film be feminist when the main character's basically becomes a ? stripper? On the plus side I actually liked the soundtrack, liked the covers of old songs by Bjork (edit: actually a remix, not a cover), The Beatles, Pixies, Eurythmics, etc. otherwise go watch Source Code instead, a far better way to spend your time in a cinema

Meh... it depends on what you want in this movie. Its a decent action flick. If someone was looking for something of substance in the story, its "there" but its not really something significant, IMO at least.

Meh.... I didnt like this move. It was ok to a certain point, but when it all hashed out it was like... I could have waited for this. To quote Peter Griffin "it insists upon itself".

Well people have already said why they thought Sucker Punch was ? , what more do you want them to say apart from going into the story and completely spoiling it? Well if you really need reasons:

The story is weak. 20 year old woman (even though she's portrayed as some sort of teenager) gets taken to a mental asylum by her wicked step-dad who pulls some strings so she gets a lobotomy. There she escapes the trauma by escaping to a brothel (and people have the cheek to call this a feminist film). She gets to imagine all different universes where unlike Inception they have no real connection with each other or to anything else and seem to serve zero purpose other than to satisfy some middle-age fanboy's ? . You don't see any dancing, you're just meant to accept it because the lead character wears a school uniform. It just comes across as silly

The fight scenes are basically music videos and someone playing a video game while you're sat there and made to watch, that's it. While Zack Snyder's bombarding you with an absolute wall of noise and just mindless action that gets beyond boring after 10 minutes you never get any more insight in any of the girl's torment and torture at the asylum. Just as he was with Watchmen whenever it looked like the film could enter darker or murky areas (ie the Sucker Punch girl's tortured existence) he just becomes flippant and dismissive of it.

There's a chance to delve deeper in the two sisters relationship and flesh that out but it's just danced around by the director with boring, wooden as a park bench dialogue. Why not go deeper into their childhood? Why not go deeper into Babydoll's childhood and get more of a picture of what life she lead and what and absolute ? her step-dad is instead of producing a one dimensional pantomime villain? When one of the lead characters finally escapes I couldn't care less simply because there are no characters in the film to even care about. Everyone is one dimensional with no character development you can't invest any real emotion behind them, or at least I couldn't anyway

I'd like to know how this film is supposed to be a positive feminist film or be an intelligent film about empowering women when the characters escape to brothels, get treated like ? and run around fighting unknown villains wearing the skimpiest costumes they can? I'm sorry but you might as well save your money and whack on a porn if the only thing you want from a film is women wearing next to nothing. Some people obviously want that from a film I guess but it's no surprise how both men and women find this film boring

I don't mind entertaining, mindless action films but this isn't even entertaining. I was yawning hard half way through it and was just waiting for the film to finish. If they're fighting in her imagination and they can't come to harm then why am I going to care about their outcome? The fights are rendered pointless

Zack Snyder just can not tell stories. Even seeing him getting interviewed about this he was stuttering and giving vague comments about the film and it's meaning like even he didn't completely know. I don't like comics but I was made to read Watchmen by mates before the film came out and I ended up really liking it, but all Zack Snyder did with that film was copy it frame for frame without fleshing out the story or themes, dragging it out way too long and just making it ? -numbingly boring. He can make great looking films but they always have zero substance and no subtext, and he struggles with something basic as telling a story, that's why he gets the hate he does, it's not just because he's Zack Snyder. It's like he pictures what his film will look like and someone has to remind him he has a story to tell, hence why Sucker Punch is an absolute mess. All style, no substance
