    You named all those movies and left out "The long good Friday", which is better than all those films you mentioned.

    These 2 aren't "mob" movies, they're more "coming of age" movies.


    But to say which set are better depends on you and your culture. I like both sets (US and British) but the US has some real classics (Godfather 1 & 2, American Gangster, Casino, The Departed).

    Lock, Stock....., Snatch and Layer Cake are very good movies.
