Where does he stand?

* As a Laker (e.g. is he the best or not)
* As a NBA Legend (e.g. where would you rank him)
* The Jordan comparison (e.g. is he in the discussion after that 6th ring)

he's already the best Laker ever IMO

there will never be another Jordan, so the comparisons are not really worth ?

Nothing more, his legacy is already established imo. MJ transcended the game of basketball, i don't think he will every be topped in the public perception in the same manner Babe Ruth and Ali hasn't.

There aint a if, in June when Kobe get that 6th ring it's NADA ? can say about Kobe Bryant ... 6 Rings and 8 Finals Appearances, Two 3-Peats, 4 straight Finals Trips

You can't fully rank him because Kobe or the Lakers are not done, they got two more rings to take

Jordan Era has been over, and I'm Chi-Town born and raised

Guess guys didn't know that the Lakers already have a 6 time champion and a 6 time MVP

He is the third best laker behind Magic and the guy who already has 6 rings and is a 6 time MVP

I think he is a top ten player now, but one more ring will put him in the top 10 for sure

    MJ LOL ???? no comment
Kobe could have 7 rings and break every Jordan record

? will still say well now he's in the top 10 maybe top 8..he's not better than Jordan tho

This thread will bring Kobe haters and Jordan haters
Having more rings than somebody does not make you a better player, you know that right

I think when mofos make the Jordan comparisons, they forget what Jordan's career did for the league

hell you might even be able to reach and say that Jordan impacted all professional leagues.............it's just not a fair comparison

That's why i said he transcended basketball, he is the reason why these ? are eating off endorsements and can go all over the world be recognized. It's certain people that everyone knows no matter where you go, MJ, Pele, Mike Jackson, etc.

As a laker, I still think he would be number three behind Magic and Kareem.

As a NBA legend, he will be top 15 all time.

The Jordan Comparison, He will have to win about 2 more championships and about 3 more MVPs. I dont that will happen.
