Yet More New X-Men: First Class Trailers, New Release Dates
There’s more new footage in these latest trailers for X-Men: First Class. We’re several trailers in now and I’m still leaning forward, keenly, ready to eat of director Matthew Vaughn’s hand.
The first half of the trailer is biased towards the relationship between Charles and Eric, the second contains rather a lot more action. It’s all good stuff, however, and it’s the blend of those ingredients, alongside the political and social dimensions, and hopefully some good plotting, that I’m banking on to make the film really deliver.
I’ll be very, very disappointed if this one doesn’t live up to everything I’ve read, seen and heard so far.
There are two very slightly different edits of one similar trailer. Here’s the US version, which ends on a title card reading Only In Cinemas:
Though the YouTube page that lives on says the film is out n June 2nd. That’s one day ahead of the previously planned June 3rd.
Better still, the UK cut of the trailer, which is currently a Sky exclusive, ends on a card that tells us we can see the film on June 1st. An Orange Wednesday, no less.

New X-Men: First Class Trailer Online
Witness the beginning...
27 April 2011 | Source: Yahoo
You certainly can’t say the team behind X-Men: First Class isn’t making every effort to keep the film foremost in our minds as the clash of the summer blockbuster titans heats up. Now the new theatrical trailer has arrived online and you can watch it below.
A blend of things we’ve already seen (did you know that Charles "Professor X" Xavier and Erik “I’ve got a much darker past than you” Lensherr were friends before they were enemies? No? You’ve clearly not watched EVERY TRAILER PUT OUT SO FAR.) But where this latest promo scores is giving the characters a little more room to breathe and offer up dialogue that shoves the plot forward, with plenty of fun little cameos from most of the mutants on displaym and the set-piece eye-candy is not underserved either.
Naturally, the men of the match so far are still James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, but there’s solid stuff here from Nicholas Hoult’s Beast and Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique.
The likes of Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Jason Flemyng, Zoe Kravitz, Lucas Till, Ed Gathegi, Ray Wise and Caleb Landry Jones also feature in the film.
Check out the trailer and sound off with your thoughts.
X-Men: First Class, just in case you’d forgotten, is out on June 1.

X-Men First Class Character Trailers
Meet Banshee, Beast and Havoc
06 May 2011 | Source: MTV
Though we’re slowly reaching saturation point when it comes to teasers, trailers, images and clips of X-Men: First Class, we’re reassured by the fact that each one just makes us want to see the movie more. And now the marketing team has found a handy way to both introduce some of the lesser-known mutants and also show us some fresh footage, launching character trailers for Banshee, Havok and Beast.
MTV got the goods on the new promos, which blends longer chunks from scenes with a cliff notes grounding on what the characters will be up to.
First up is Caleb Landry Jones’ Sean Cassidy, AKA Banshee, a lad “blessed” with a serious set of lungs capable of producing a sonic scream that can be destructive or, as you’ll see, let him fly.
Then there’s Lucas Till’s Havok, also known as Alex Summers (younger brother to Scott, AKA Cyclops). Born with incredibly plasma bolt power, Havok has trouble controlling his energy (and his temper) until Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) intercedes and starts to train him to focus the powerful force he wields.
Finally, we have Hank McCoy (Nicholas Hoult), who just wants to live an ordinary life, but seems doomed to mutant even further than he has, ending up as Beast. Before he goes fully furry, he has a relationship with Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique.
As if you didn’t already have it pencilled into your diary, X-Men: First Class is out on June 1. Less than a month to wait!

Initial X-Men: First Class Reviews Appearing
Bloggers giving the first verdict on the prequel, and it's glowing.
We'll be bringing you our verdict on X-Men: First Class on Wednesday, but lucky bloggers in the UK have been allowed to broadcast their views on the prequel.
The opinion looks to be 100% glowingly positive so far. Director Matthew Vaughn teams up with his Kick-Ass screenwriter Jane Goldman for this origins story, which stars James McAvoy as Charles, young Professor X, and Michael Fassbender as Erik, aka the future Magneto. We see the very first X-Men assembled, which includes Jennifer Lawrence as the young Mystique.
X-Men: First Class is released on 1st June. Here's a round-up of what's being said in blogger land:
ScreenGeek:
"It's fair to say First Class has done to the X-Men franchise what Casino Royale did to the flagging, dated 007. To say it's been revitalised would be an understatement."
HeyUGuys:
"Vaughn’s ability to direct action, and sense of humour run through the film, while the film still feels very much like a part of the world Singer created in his movies."
Blogomatic3000:
James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and director Matthew Vaughn deserve much credit for bringing X-Men up to date, refreshed, while, ironically, taking it back in time."
Bleeding Cool:
"First Class contains some of the briskest and most efficient storytelling I’ve seen in any recent blockbuster."
Den Of Geek:
"So despite all the ropey posters and off-putting promo material, X-Men: First Class manages to be a summer movie with something to say."
Synopsis:
X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
