In 10 years from now when we look at the 2000-2010 decade what do you think we will consider classics?
Whether you like it or not Lil Wayne is legend status and so is Carter 3 and 4.
These two will be...
Rick Ross and Jeezy will be as well...
Unfortunately since NY won't have anything to claim for that decade they'll over hype this ? to epic proportions and he will be a legend too...
Local legends...
The Game
Lil Boosie
Gucci Mane
Maybe Waka Flocka
And anyone that got killed is automatically legend status.
I can already see ? 10 years from now talking about how the current state of rap music sucks and how Lil Wayne was the ? . Just like the miserable ass old heads now.
If all goes well NY will be completely irrelevant in the Hip Hop world.
Feel free to add to the list.

New York dropped classic albums in the 2000's
Stillmatic
The Blueprint
The lost tapes
GRODT
The BLack Album -
2000 to 2010 is not 10 years, learn how to count ?
-
Just to add about Kanye. IMO, when the dust settles, Goldigger will definitely be considered top 3 of all-time 2000s songs, not just hip hop. I dont even like that song that much, but that ? dominated every chart when it was out.

Just the bolded. Lost Tapes is debatable but definitely not Black Album. -
CunninLyguists - A Piece of Strange
Masta Ace - A Long Hot Summer
CYNE - Evolution Fight
Nujabes - Modal Soul and Metaphorical Music
Just a few to mention there, the bolded is without a doubt top 10 of any list of albums made in the 00's about hip hop, IMO. The most perfect concept album I've heard alongside very few others. -
Shee take my moneyy
well im in need......
Forreal that brandy track was the worst on LR, couldnt stand it in 05, cant stand it now -
These threads just make me laugh. The South had it's run now ? is lookin back on the decade reachin for potential goats and potential classic albums and all the lists are short as ? . Sad ? . At least ? is gettin money tho right?

I thought it was a good song, just got played out. But no one can deny that ? was a unreal as a crossover smash. I remember having white people physically stop what they were doing and being like "she take my money" everytime that song started. ? was surreal. -
too many to name, but the south control hip hop
