    I don't know the direction you were going with this but if this pertaining to faith, then I beg to differ. Now it is possible for me to have faith in a selfish-starved ego, but faith isn't suppose to give you a selfish-starved ego. Now you are right in saying that promises are broken virtually by the minute. That is why I asked the question, "how solid is our word?". The word "solid" may be a poor choice of words (forgive my limited vocabulary) but I used it in reference to reliability.
