Is there anything wrong with a purely aerobic exercise regime (specifically jumping jacks)?

depends on your goals....
If purely "weight loss" and/or "cardiovascular health" then no.
If "fat loss" and/or "muscle building/maintenance" then yes, there are better routines out there. -

Is weight loss the same thing as fat loss? -

Weight loss = fat + muscle mass being eaten up. Fat loss = only fat being eaten up. -

Thanks, I think I'll stick to aerobic exercise. I wish I had a treadmill or an exercising bike.
