i agree with you. I think they thought they was too dope to get in the studio and make commercial songs and still keep their lyrical content above par. -

I'd say that's a better comparison than Charles Hamilton.
I think J Cole's album will have a decent buzz like Joe's debut and maybe go gold.
J Cole is probably my favorite artist out, but just doesn't seem like he has that mass apeal to see a ton of records.
I think he may have a career like Common. Steady/decent sales and might go plat once or twice, but a megastar type rapper.
To me that's more respectable than selling out and making corny BEP music -

I like most of J Cole's music but Charles Hamilton was better than him.

i don't think his buzz is completely gone, people are still anticipating this album, and the buzz can easily be attained again if Work Out gets decent airplay
it's too early to compare him to CH because as of now, CH is DONE..at least for a while..hopefully i'm wrong cuz i'm a CH fan, but more than likely he's done for a minute..Cole isn't there yet.. -
