JBL's WWE Title Reign Was The Best BOOKED Reign In Recent Memory....

i honest cannot think of anyone since Lesnar who has had a title that was BOOKED GREAT.
JBL's reign was the last one I can think of....
even though I was a mark for him, i know when something is good

people didnt buy him as champ as first and he got heavy heat because of it (not to mention he was and still is GOLD on the mic)
but he was the classic heel who barely escaped with his belt by the skin of his teeth
thats probably what Ted Dibiase would be like if he was booked as WWF Champ

not to mention that No Way Out 2005 was probably the BEST BOOKED FINISH FOR A WWE TITLE MATCH THIS CENTURY

yeah I said it...i really can't think of any other champ who fans really wanted to see finally get his comeuppance after sooooo long

he was not the best worker....he didn't put on the best matches

but he entertained like a muthafucka

he should have never been champ in the first place. he had no crdibility as a main eventer, however i give him his props for making the most of his opportunity by having a solid run as champ.

ppl can say what they want about JBL..(I even hated him myself, Character wise) but every storyline he was involved in had meaning. He was a "TRUE" Heel. which means he did his job

exactly, the man was a GREAT HEEL....he knew what to do, what to say and every promo he had was entertaining...he knew how to make people hate him...and which every title defense he successfully pulled off...the more people hate him....not to mention he was no slouch in the ring....he could bump like a muthafucka

ok his whole storyline made sense...

    thats nice.

still stopped watching Smackdown cuz he was the champ.

It was too much too soon.

he was never an IC champ b4 this, he was never a major singles guy to begin with... the build was rushed it seems and out of nowhere.

Sure he did his job well, but him as champion killed it for me, when guys like Booker T & RVD deserved shots b4 him (in terms of freshness & being well over with fans)... he did have great matches vs Eddy tho.

IMO, I hated this tragedy. I blame JBL's reign solely for the downfall of the Smackdown brand... and I say this in quasi facetiousness.

You had to watch Smackdown while he was champ, because sure ppl didnt like him, but at the same time people wanted to see him lose it
and thats what brough ppl back every week/PPV

    he was a great heel
and even though it was waaaay too quick it was also refreshing to see a new main eventer as well

not to mention he was awesome when he got to run with the ball

unlike some people who blew their shot....RVD I'm looking at u

    APA bradshaw>>>>JBL

I searched for my remote everytime he came on my tube....? was wack juice
also booker T, RVD, Farooq and Scott Hall should have all had one or multiple title reigns
