IMO,it's not a good look to use a coupon on the
FIRST date. Especially if YOU'RE the one who asked
her out on the date. -_______-

Because...lol the whole idea is to make the best impression you can.
You don't have to spend a huge amount of money on the first date or
go to some extraordinary extravaganza.Maybe use a coupon on the 2nd
date? Maybe the 3rd date? Not the first date.

Uh uh,don't be fancy & call it being frugal, lol. It's being
cheap.Of course it wouldn't be a deal breaker on it being
the last date. But it probably would be something I would
laugh about later on with my friends.

Make dinner at the crib, and use all the coupons you want at the grocery store. Including her favorite boxed wine.

Frugal-Economical in use or expenditure; prudently saving or sparing; not wasteful

I don't see how a person being thrifty makes them cheap.

idk. it would depend on how it's presented & the dude. if you told me beforehand & made a joke about it then cool. but if you tried to flex the whole time & busted that ? out....eh...not the best first impression.

...but here's my take. If you're going to use a coupon, it's best to be honest about it before hand so you can get a feel where the lady's head is. If she trips, no need to take it any further. If you present as "hey, I got a great 2 for 1 at TGI Fridays and I would really like for your to be the one I share it with" you (and she) shouldn't have a problem. Some women will disapprove b/c they like for dudes to spend as much money on them as possible because it boosts their low self-esteem and gives them a false sense of potential security.

    is this true.. ?

I would say so. Let me just clarify....I meant that they would disapprove of said 'coupon usage' b/c men spending cash makes them feel better about themselves, etc. Not all, but many.

It's along the same lines as the reason they really like diamonds....a rock is a rock. The diamond (and it's size) represents money and the comfort/security that supposedly go with it. (e.g. when seeing a 3 ct. engagement ring on a friend's hand "guuurrrll, he must really love you")

If I was drinking, I'd laugh.
If I was sober, it'd be our last date.....maybe...depends on how cute you are and the reason behind it. Depending on your personality and what I know of you at that point, I might see it as quirky or trifling. All depends.

^^^And so none of that really answered the question.
