Two of My favorite albums of the last ten years especially from a production standpoint. Which would you consider better if were judging that aspect alone?
Kanye's best work IMO either way

late registration, easily

LR. That cinematic feel put it over the top. It was the precursor to his other albums productionwise. BE was just a dope ass ? album. I will say this though, Dilla's two beats on BE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

True. Kanye's sample game was crazy on that. Anyone saying Ye just steals needs to listen to that album. I liked Dilla's beats cuz of how he made them. He took the chopping to another level.
This is the sample to Its Your World. I had this record for about a year and didnt know what to do with it. Dilla ? my head up with that joint. -

late registration, ye is the best producer/rapper

Jesus Christ, this doesn't get any easier... too many bangers between these two. -
Based stictly on production, it's Late Registration hands down.
-
Late Registration, that's Kanye's best album
-
Damn. This is tough one. I'll lurk this thread but I honestly can pick. The production on both were flawless.

I voted Be....
Beats where more soulful and catchy IMO.
& Dillas beat is one of the greatest ever -
It's easily Late Registration for me. How could you vote against the album with We Major, Gone, and Diamonds on it? I'd argue Finding Forever has better production than Be. It's less Hip-Hop than Be tho.

Late Registration the beats were bigger more layer more cinematic and set a mood

Finding forever is like a weaker version of Be. Album was Kindoff on the boring side. -

True statement. Be was more soulful, but Finding Forever is more musical. Comparing on production alone between those 2 albums (Be & Finding Forever) is more of a preference though. They're equally as good as each other based on beats. -

I respectfully disagree. Ye had a few of his best beats on there (The People, South Side, Black Maybe), but he was on and off. That Game beat was horrendous. They ? up the mix on So Far To Go (just being nitpicky... but it sounded a lot better on The Shining). And ? Will I Am just because. -

It's like the same exact album but weaker. Finding forever is solid though. -

Damn, you ain't like The Game beat? and I agree I liked the previous mix of So Far To Go. I thought I Want You was great work and the breakdown near the end was standout. -

The Game was Ye trying way too hard to be Primo (who did the scratches). It was ? and sloppy, which I like... but to the point it was bad. And something about Will I Am just rubs me the wrong way. But yeah, the breakkdown (which samples a Bob James record I heard a bajillion times) was nice. It's not as bad as I'm making it sound, but BE is leagues ahead of it. -
This isn't even a question. CD shouldv'e been compared to BE then that's a debate. Late Reg easily.

I say LR. My fav songs from Be were all produced or Co-produced by Kanye
-
You'll don't think that tracks like Love Is and Its Your World had more sophisticated concepts than the stuff on LR? Also putting the poetry interludes on The Corner was more clever than anything from LR.

Kanye has an excellent production catalogue, especially whole albums
