Barrel Turns

Time freezes as the barrel turns, who have the bullets yearned?
A father, a mother, a son or a daughter? The lead's forever stern.
Taking aim and the stand is firm ,to make sure that the latter burns
What kills criminals, cops and soldiers also takes away the children
Stray shots in crossfires, exit stage right and what's left is just sickening
A young soul crushed and it's body destoyed, killers under cover like Troy
If they can't bring them back to life, how dare they take 'em
I hope that all my people awake, because our lives are forsaken
Families murdered during a break-in, identifying bodies is heartbreaking
Kid's kidnapped over financing the white powder, we should scream louder
From the 3rd to the Baltimore projects, look at the lives it has costed
I guess people forget who they came from and take away just that
Now a son is fatherless because someone decided to bust caps
The mother working 3 jobs, the son grows and busts back
Never ending cycle witnessed by the shield keeping its silence
But they won't ever intervene, they love to see our violence

This was pretty deep.. It's definitely become a recycle to the scoiety of what you have described.. sad but true.

As poets, it' is our job to express on such topics that people don't really talk about..

"the wise move in silence, the foolishness moves in violence"
