So I walked on the sun rays just to touch the heavens
I was lonely in my despair so I sought out my brethren
My mind is a weapon, another form of protection
But I was aiming at myself and that's the wrong direction
They asked me who I was impressing; my intention isn't to prove
Unless the command in my heart felt it was necessary to move
Even when I didn't have, those were lesson and my tools
Inside I was heating up but I kept my cool
They can follow the consensus, let me just sit and examine
A blade for the unjust and a prayer for the famine
It's hard for us to fathom...but I am closer than ever
In a rare sort of zone where my soul lives forever
When I leave these scattered shards you continue effort
I'll return at a later time just to appreciate the network
