The Day After....

Alone in these cold hearted streets
blood smeared pavements
violent past lurks among the silence
I look over my shoulder and see voided memories
the day before I can't even look for
endure the suffering from the visuals of my private home
alone, shattered, confused, battered
glass on my frame and skin torn
tear gas residue leaked upon my flesh
enough to create refuge from tearless nights
those nights I strive for
in this lacking day of low morale
I should have killed them ?
made them fry
but what lies within my mind is refuge
from this traveling foe against the system
wisdom occurs as my youth talks to me
explains the afterlife of a revolution gone bad
sad that I listen and often brag of the before
it was for CHANGE DAMMIT
HOW COULD WE HAVE LOST
THIS WAS OUR BATTLE
IT ALL STARTED WITH A WALK
A STAND AGAINST THE MAN
THE ENEMY THAT LURKS IN DREAMS
HAUNTING AND FLAUNTING IT'S LEGACY
DRONE TO A LIFE OF SOCIAL ENGINEERING
this is NOT MY LIFEEEEEEEEEEE
I scream at the corpses that occupy change
the bodies that represents humanity
the souls that are with HE now
the dreams that are awaken by marshal law
all these things escaping me
all because of a simple destiny
fate becomes reality
we were just trying to recreate fantasy
blueprint of a better society
us having the finer things that countries mock
that ? tries but man BOTCH

Healthcare, Opportunity, Peace, and a better plot

all thrown by mistake
misunderstanding and lack of faith

so I walk this lonely road
miles from heaven
and the time to get there...ONLY ? KNOWS
