Recovery was good, wish the track with Slaughterhouse was on it though. The Roots - How I Got Over, what can I say they always get over looked. Vinnie Paz - Season of the Assassin and AOTP-Unholy Terror were some great albums as well. Distant Relatives was a lot better than I though it would be, actually it was quite brilliant. Reflection Eternal is still growing on me but still a lot of dope tracks. Wu Massacre was a big let down, but still in rotation. At the moment just waiting on Reggie, but good ol Def Jam keeps pushing it back.

    1. Roots - "How I got Over" album is ill as expected from The Roots. I have The Fire on repeat. So many messages on their songs over banging production.
    2. Nas and Damian Marley - "Distant Relatives" this jawn goes hard. I thought this was going to be good but it was better than I thought it was going to be. This is some inspirational hiphop not preachy but damn its banging.
    3. Talib Kweli and DJ Hitek- "Revolutions Per Minute" This is banging Kweli lyrically is nice the production is banging the guest features are on point. Kweli just makes banging albums and this is another one.

Are yall serious about the Eminem album really. I am not trying to hate because it is all opinion but I listened to that album and it had 2-3 songs worth listening to. I will give it right back to someone I borrowed it from.

co sign. And my four would be Sir Luscious LeftFoot. Dude was flowing on every track and great beat selection

Everybody's pretty much stated what's been good hip-hop music. Janelle, The Roots, Big Boi, Em, Distant Relatives, B.o.B., Wu, RPM... But I stumbled across this cat from Miami named Ghostwridah... Son is a beast.

His street lp "In Love With My Future" completely caught me off guard. A southern lyricist that shows a lot of promise.

There's a ton of ? dropping but a lot of good to make up for it.

The Roots dropped another dope album

Em finally got his ? together

Big Boi gave me a new found respect for him

B.O.B. definitely planted some roots in the game

Royce is killing the mixtape circuit and any beat he drops a verse on

Distant Relatives was a great concept

And Talib finally linked up with Hi-Tek again (I want a Black Star album in 2011)

I'm sure I missed a couple but like I said there is a lot of ? saturating the culture

A few good albums came out such as Pursuit Of Napyness, Sir Lucious LeftFoot, The Roots album. BUT THE BST ALBUM THAT HAS COME OUT THIS YEAR IS A MIXTAPE Big K.R.I.T "K.R.I.T wuz here" every song on that album is slamming.

"Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot...Son Of Chico Dust" album of the year for me no doubt about it.. huge surprise for me even tho it shouldnt be
"Nas & Damian Marley - Distant Relatives" my most anticipated album and i loved it
"Eminem - Recovery" ever though he sounds way out of his element and some wack beats eminem is going in the right direction.. plus the signing with slaughterhouse is a dream come true, can't wait for their next release.
"The Roots - How I Got Over" phenomenal. black thought probably the most underrated mc on the planet.
"B.o.B - B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray" astonishing debut imo, bobby ray will stay for a long time
"Drake - Thank Me Later" kind of a let down with all the singing, if he made more introspective, sofisticated and intelligent drake songs and less young money songs it would be a classic.. 9am in dallas one of my favorites in a long time btw..
"Stat Quo - Statlanta" you all need to get this.. FIRE
"Royce Da 5'9" - Bar Exam 3: The Most Intresting Man" even though this is a mixtape i just dont get how royce get better and better while most mc's usually peaks early then just gets worse and worse
"Reflection Eternal - Revolutions per Minute" haven't really listened yet.. probably dope as hell tho

still many huge releases on the way.. best year for hiphop in a LONG time
