Closest one imo is Jason Kidd in his prime. What could he really do except pass? Everything else was below average for a so-called superstar PG.

Basketball has too little players for something like that to happen.

completely different sports, difficult to compare, but I'll try

Starting point guard is horrible technically, runs a dumbed down offense, but doesn't make too many mistakes, is a good leader--the team is great defensively and can keep the games close

? it, you won't find that in the NBA

closest thing would be like eddie house or damon jones, but they didn't really lead their teams.
    and they had ill jumpshots...

    so basically....
No such player exists. He would've BEEN exposed.

    but

    andre miller.
this dude is a winning point guard who knows how to play the game but can't jump, can't really shoot, isnt fast, and doesn't have the flashiest handle

Andre. Miller easily. Might be the most underrated pg of alltime.

Miller is underrated without a doubt but when has he led a team? He was benched a lot in 4th quarter last season.

In Denver he didn't lead and also in Portland he was benched several times for clashing with McMillan.
    Ben Wallace?

    Good Pick.

Without Wallace that Pistons team had no shot winning the 2004 title.

He fills the stat box when healthy with blocks, rebounds and steals.

Break down Jason Kidd's skillset back then and compare it to other point guards:

Could he shoot the 3 consistently?
    Could he shoot the mid-range?
    Could he score at will?
What about him was above average besides his passing?

In brief, despite his lack of skills, he was somehow able to bring that wackass team to the finals TWICE. He did get exposed in both finals, but still, how did that ? ass team led by a poor man's superstar make the finals back to back?

Ben Wallace presents an interesting case but he was invaluable defensively.
Andre Miller might be spot on
And if Rondo wasnt physically gifted he could be the answer. Idk, the NBA is a lot harder to hide flaws

Eric Snow and Ben Wallace are the closest answers, but still, they were comparatively more talented at their position than Tebow is at his.

    kemba walker
carried his team to the ship
was primarily a score first PG in college and has a unconventional game with great D..people question he can be a productive starting PG in the league others say he's a 6' SG ......two things people cant question his heart and passion to win.......

i think he will steadily improve but early in his career he will struggle to run the team but will show up big time in the clutch.....

Callin Tebow the Eric Snow of the NFL says all that needs to be said. Real answer has been posted, basketball and football are two different animals and NFL teams are way less dependent on individual players to succeed.

There is no comparison in the NBA because if anybody was the Tim Tebow of basketball he would have been graduated from his DII college with a history degree, drafted late 2nd round by OKC, and 3 months later be handin KD his baconator in the drive-through.

Sayin that, I hope he keeps winnin because all it does is make ? more mad, and that ? funny to me.

Not a comparison game wise but ima say a.c. Green wit a lil doug christie mixed in. game wise dude just out there playin west virginia football in the nfl. Trust me that sooner or later it'll be figured out. I put just as much of the broncos success on von miller as I do tebow but we all know defense gets no glory if espn can slob on tebow

Overhyped equivalent to big country bryant reeves lol. Tebow is winning but you cant possibly expect him not 2, get turned on eventually. Especially when teams stack the box and realize he got nobody 2 throw to and has the accuracy of stevie wonder from the free throw line
