yeah, it is almost a disgrace to group Tillman with the likes of Michael Irvin and OJ Simpson

Or vice versa when it comes to actual football prowess

he was viewed as a person of great character the day he enlisted. dying only added to that status. and how he died doesn't really effect anything about how people should view him.

but i dont know if he should get in. I'm just playing devils advocate i guess

    Again I write....

lol how convenient of everybody to forget that FACT

when you think about it this whole situation is ironic. He selflessly gave up a career in football for his country. He wanted no fame and no fortune. And in return he got killed by his own ppl, used as propaganda by the US gov't and paraded around as iconic by the nfl.

They should have at least named our new stadium after him. I hate the name University of Phoenix Stadium. We left one college stadium just to go to another stadium named after a college. ?

the way he went out is irrelevant

no it's not because he's not a hero. He's just another dead guy. If you let him in then you have to let everybody whose career or life ended shortly. Gaines Adams might as well be in the hall of game then.

but he was labeled a hero and a man of extreme high character the day he enlisted
