    Who in their right mind would sign an extension with an old ass Celtic squad? Exactly, it's not happening. Plus Chris Paul is way better than Rondo, so chances are the Celtics would have to give up another one of the big 4 to make it a fair trade.

    What improvement? His FG percentage got worse last year.
    I'm not saying Rondo is "better" .... But he is already proven and has played In the finals more than once

    Really your just looking at numbers. Rondo's range has become better, but that's not gonna make doc change his offense. It's not like just because Rondo missed certain shots that those were shots he chose LOL. Rondo is a pure opportunist in that system. When your the 3rd or fourth option on offense you don't even know if you're gonna be shooting on any particular offensive play or situation LOL. It's not like when kobe gets the ball out on the wing and takes 10 seconds to work on his defender LOL

    CP3 is gonna leave my city, but idk why ppl are sayin the knicks are gonna get him. What can the Knicks possibly offer to the my team???Nothing. The way possible is maybe a three way team deal but the Knikcs players are pure indian fertilizer and the Hornets office knows it. Sorry NY

    I'm seeing equivalent things said about Rondo cats was saying about Tebow, but fact is Rondo was their best player in the playoffs last year he rises to the occasion dude dislocated his elbow and came back in the game and lead them to the W. LaMichael James had the same injury and missed like 3 weeks.

    at the end of the day, c.paul is better, and makes your team better, so as a G.M. if you have a chance to get him , you go get him.

    yea that's another thing, the hornets arent trying to let him to go free agency, without getting anything back, the knicks have nobody anyone wants after melo and amare...so they have no bargining chips there

    BUT the hornets are now own by the NBA...so if the NBA wants the knicks back on top for marketing reasons...then it can happen.

    Report: Chris Paul Would Not Sign A Contract Extension With Celtics

    New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul would not be open to signing a long-term contract extension with the Boston Celtics, reports Chris Broussard. Such an extension would be considered crucial if the Boston Celtics and the New Orleans Hornets were to come to terms on a potential trade for the All-Star guard.

    “Let all the CP3-to-Boston chatter cease. CP will not sign long-term ext with Celtics, according to source close to situation,” Broussard said in a tweet this morning.

    Broussard originally reported yesterday that the Boston Celtics would be open to trading star point guard Rajon Rondo in return for a legitimate scoring presence. It has since been reported that the club has spoken to the New Orleans Hornets about acquiring Paul, a point guard who is considered to have a much more polished scoring game than Rondo. They have also reportedly spoken to the Indiana Pacers.

    Paul can become a free-agent following this season, and has several times indicated that he would like to leave New Orleans for a team where he can be more competitive. He has been rumored to be interested in signing with the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers, but not the Celtics.

    BUT the hornets are now own by the NBA...so if the NBA wants the knicks back on top for marketing reasons...then it can happen.
    He can still opt out seasons end and there's nothing the Hornets or the NBA could do a damn thing about it. As long as Paul refuses to sign the extension the hornets are ? and lose him for nothing. The Knicks can just scoop him up when he opts out. Sources closest to the situation are saying Paul is willing to take a pay cut to play with Amare and Melo in the big city.
