Its been awhile, but leave it up for some new Lupe to get me motivated. Hopefully I can stay off this block once I cop the new Roots album

start my day off with starbucks and a small blunt
No more koolaid or OE
nah, I'm grown up
that cheap gas fueled the old me
OG that gives orders
being professional is important
nobody knows my deal or that I deal
with problems head on
I feel alive and right even when I'm dead wrong
head strong from earphones permanently attached to my neck

how do you live your life?

do you start your day off pregnant wife givin you the grocery list
then go out, buy a bag again and chill with friends?
no pampers
Taco Bell napkins wrapped around your kid
1 bedroom apartment
1 kid
1 pregnant chick
can barely pay rent
but you drive a 300 chrys

back to the subject

you drive a 300 Chrys....

Jesus Christ....

payments and upkeep bleed you dry
don't you know 300's a cheap man's bentley
still too much $ to drive
gas gauge constantly on empty
power company came by
turned off the power
EMP

who turned off the lights?
cuz your 2 kids futures are dark
cuz you could give deuce ? about takin them to the park
they're raised in a garden with the weed seeds that spread roots and grew from the couch of your 1 bedroom apartment
they're raised to hit women and hit on other women when the women you hit aren't in the vicinity
arrogant and ignorant like the dad that introduces his kids as "yo this is my seed"
I believe that I will see your seeds in sixteen years at Mickey D's ringing up my double burger with cheese while they're high off weed

just like you

the seed you plant at home will bud like the one's creeping from your couch
honor that ring that you're pregnant chick of yours wanted
treat your house as a kingdom
wisdom, power and then some
live up to it instead of just living it up but don't give up cuz your seeds look up to you like a tree
take care of your family and handle your responsibility
hold them close without a closed fist but please never give them those 2 fingers like a V

But most importantly, u touched on such an important topic. Kids are the most precious human beings. And some parents take that for granted. Mother's and fathers each play a vital role in uprooting their childeren. And your poem is very relevant to the society today.
