I remember this from when I was little (in the 80's).
Hawk was one of the first black male characters on t.v. that I remember, that overshadowed the main character (when he was on "Spencer for Hire") and didn't take much ? from anyone.
He had a spinoff called "A Man Called Hawk" but it only lasted 13 episodes.
