The first three centuries of the Christian Era weren't easy for the Hebrews. There was a lot of confusion between the Hebrews and the Christians due to instigation by the Roman government saying the Hebrews killed Jesus. And, that false accusation has followed the Hebrews even until this day. But, at that time it did force the Hebrews to flee from persecution, while at the same time we also fled from the Christians due to forced conversion. It was a do or die situation. You either accepted Christianity or you died.

but, but, but the Hebrews worship a white guy name jesus from a white man book, shut up with that sniffling nonsense. This right here should put that to sleep, the christians took Hebrew doctrine and mixed it with hellenist doctrine in the new testament.

See The New testament do have some hebrew knowledge for Paul was a Hebrew but there is some hellenist doctrine, how do you sift through the bad, by going back to the old testament to see if it matches with the tanach.

our ancestors knew of Yahushua ben yusef the messiyah but we didnt know of jesus.

The first Christian missionaries, who left Portugal for west Africa were required to have a knowledge of Aramaic and Hebrew. Aramaic is a language that is akin to Hebrew, some say it was spoken by the Hebrews during the time of Yahshuah. Sir John Hawkins an English slave trader in the 1500's communicated with his captives, who later became slaves by speaking Hebrew to them. In fact when he first came to the shores of west Africa, the first thing he said to the people was SHALOM, Shalom is a Hebrew word that means peace.

John Hawkins had a slave ship called "good ship jesus" who they turned a black yahushua to a white man name jesus who they molded to an image of zeus and other pagan ? 's and force it on the hebrews

so yes HEBREWS had to escape CHRISTIANS IN AFRICA just like the Muslims and all the others

Shalam Ahk.. something to support the effort. Sometimes when blacks are telling the history it falls under scrutiny. So maybe if people heard "the white man" acknowledge and present evidence of it then...

This guy even knows that Israelites populated a remote West Africa during the reign of King Solomon. They got there by ship and foot.

Next was the rise of Islam some several hundred years later, 6th or 7th century. Islam was gaining some dominance but not enough to convert the Hebrews. Mohammed sought the Hebrews, but the Hebrews didn't want to have anything to do with Islam. Eventually, a choice was given to the Hebrews either Islam or die by the sword. The threat of the sword was definitely carried out by the command of Mohammed, killing the Hebrew males and selling the Hebrew women. After the death of Mohammed, his successor (Abu Behr), with a tighter grip than Mohammed, continued with the caravan.

Africa wasn't the only country where the Hebrews dwelled because of them fleeing their captore and wanting to live a life of freedom. Spain and Portugal, to name a few, were two countries where the Hebrews tried to leave.

Life for the Hebrews in Spain was fair until January 2, 1492. This is the year that king Ferdinand and queen Isabella signed an order to deport the Hebrews out of Spain. Christianity had taken a strong hold in Spain and Ferdinand and Isabella approved the expulsion because the Jews were secretly maintaining their faith as Moses had instructed them and not embracing the Christian religion.

Ferdinand and Isabella gave the Jews until August 1, 1492 to get out of Spain or suffer severe slavery for sure. When August 1, 1492 arrived, a great number of Jews had departed Spain, returning to the northern and western parts of Africa, fleeing to the Caribbean islands, and fleeing into Portugal. "But the last group of Jews did not leave until August 2, 1492," said Rudolph Windsor, author of "From Babylon to Timbuktu."

This date should sound familiar to the world because this is the date Christopher Columbus set sail for the New World. And their were Jews on board his carriers. The Jews that stayed behind in Spain were either forced to convert to Christianity, be a slave, or die by the sword. The Jews that fled into Portugal were allowed to stay for thirteen years but no longer, to the year of 1505. To this date, there are a number of dark-skinned Hebrews in the Caribbean Islands, practicing and living the laws of Moses.

When 1505 arrived, the Hebrews that had stayed behind in Portugal were forced into being slavery by the order of the governor of Portugal. Also, the governor gave permission to import the slaves, those negroes, those Hebrews into the Caribbean islands and the West Indies.

But Spain and Portugal weren't the only culprits in this matter. The African people also played a part in the captivity of African slaves.

Although the slave trade began in 1441, at the hands of the Portuguese, it wasn't until 1619, when the first slaves were reported in English America, said Richard L. Green. He went further to say, "The participation of countries in the African slave trade became so profitable that slaves were viewed as black gold' and beasts of burden."

Black gold and beasts of burden is how Affonso I, king of the Congo, must have viewed the Hebrews of Africa because he gained a great deal of wealth from the slave trade. It is noted that Mvemba Nzinga, who was baptized Affonso I, ruled as the Mani Congo (king of the Congo) from 1506 to 1543. "Affonso I attempted to control the slave traffic," and by 1530, at least 5,000 slaves were exported annually from the Congo, said Mr. Green. Richard L. Green is the publisher and editor of "A Salute to Historic African Kings and Queens."

Of course, Affonso I, the king of the Congo, in the continent of Africa, wasn't the only king to get involved in the slave trade. There were other kings in Africa that did it out of profit, and their were some kings that were pitted against each other by the Europeans. But either way it goes, the Hebrews went into slavery by the hands of the kings of Africa and by the hands of the Europeans.

This document makes the connection between the Hebrew/Israelites and the African Slave Trade and explains how and why the Hebrews emigrated or rather fled to the continent of Africa. At the same time, it explains how the Hebrews got caught up in the slave trade. Many of the black people in America want to associate themselves with the African continent, when in fact it actually has nothing to do with the black people of America.

The history of the black people doesn't stop at Africa. There is more to black people than that. Take the time to study black history, and don't stop at Africa. Why, because it will be you who will make a difference in this world

An article published in one of Israel’s daily Hebrew newspapers, Ma’ariv (16 Sept. 1991) states, “No other Zimbabweans blow the Shofar except Zacharia who is of the lost tribe of Israel. Tens of thousands of “Black Jews” were discovered there recently... They are called “Lemba” and according to their tradition they are the descendants of Abraham, Moses and Solomon.” Mary Benson documented in her work Nelson Mandela The Man and the Movement, his reference to Israelites in South Africa, “...in 1921 General Smuts, the Prime Minister, had sent an army which massacred 163 men, women and children at nearby Bulhoek in the Eastern Cape; members of an Israelite sect...”

The slave master's knew who we were, this was the reason they changed our whole culture, faith, religion and history. How could they keep us as slaves and treat us as subhuman, and still have high praise for our scared scriptures (the bible). It was necessary that they cover up our identity, and keep it hidden.

When slaves were on the plantation working from before the sun came up to when it went down.

They would sing songs that are now known as ? Spirituals.

In these songs they would sing about Moses, Jerusalem, Canaan, Yah and the land of Israel. The songs with those themes I just mention were song on plantations before the slave master introduce the KJV or Christianity to the slaves. If the slaves were not already Israelites how did they have knowledge of these songs and biblical themes. When we were first brought to the America's the slave master didn't find it fit to teach us Christianity. If he did he would have to acknowledging that we were human, and that was something he couldn't do. Over a period of time, the slave master decided to teach our people a few things about Christianity. But he only taught them from the New Testament (just as many Christians continue to do today). Slave Owners forbidden the slaves to read or hear "old testament" bible books, such as Exodus and others.

Additionally, the Israelites who were taken into America maintained remnants of their heritage through the lyrics of what became known as slave songs or spirituals, “Canaan’s Land where my possessions lie...” They never stopped praising the ? of Israel and never turned their eyes from Zion. Even in terms of language they continued to use certain words which were definitely rooted in their original language (Hebrew). Words such as “ain’t,” which is derived from The African Hebrew word “ayne” which also means no, not, nothing, there is not, etc.

But those first slave songs had many old testament themes to them such as "Let My People Go", My home is over Jordan, and Swing Low Sweet Chariot and so on. The slave master didn't teach them this, as a matter of fact in some parts of the country those "Slave songs" were outlawed (it also was against the law to teach a slave how to read and write especially the bible). Our people were singing about something that they were familiar with, and this was "old testament" history, a history which had by then become oral history passed on from one generation to the next.

The slave song KumbaYAH is Hebrew, it's saying "come by here, Yah come by here". As I pointed out earlier YAH is a shorten form of the creator's name in Hebrew. So how did our people know about Yah, Moses and all the other Hebrew themes if they were not Hebrews upon their arrival?

LIKE I SAID OUR ANCESTORS NEVER GAVE UP OUR HERITAGE WITH OUT A FIGHT, WE KEPT OUR HERITAGE WHILE WE WERE SLAVES that why they was to quick to let us stand outside their church and gave us new testament and kept us from the old testament

but let the other ? tell it

f you pick up and read any book on slavery in the United States, You will see that the slaves would call the slave owner ? not MASTER but ? . We have been taught that the slaves were speaking broken English, so they would pronounce ? instead of master because of their dialect. That's not the whole truth, ? is a Hebrew word that means burden / oppressor (strong's concordance 4853, 4854). Those slave masters put heavy burdens on the slaves, so the slaves called them ? for that reason

    Ancient Hebrew Inscriptions

South of Albuquerque, and west of Los Lunas, New Mexico, an ancient inscription was carved into the face of a boulder centuries ago. It is the text of the Ten Commandments, written in Hebrew! Of particular interest is the fact that the type of Hebrew writing that was used was Paleo-Hebrew, which is the form of Hebrew writing that was used for approximately a one-thousand-year period, ending about 500 BC. This means that we can fairly conclude that the inscription of the Ten Commandments was engraved on the face of a boulder in New Mexico, North America, sometime prior to 500 BC! This is one proof that Hebrew people were on the land of America many centuries before the birth of the Messiah. This, of course, is one of the messages of The Record of the Nephites: that the Holy One of Israel led colonies of righteous Israelites to the land of America, prior to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Babylonian dispersion that occurred in about 587 BC. For them, the American continent was a land of promise.

Other inscriptions, also written in Paleo-Hebrew, have been discovered in the states of Iowa, Ohio, and Tennessee, as well as in Brazil. In Newark, Ohio, a carved stone of curious workmanship was discovered which also bears an engraved inscription of the Ten Commandments of the Covenant – in Paleo-Hebrew. At a site known as Bat Creek cave, in Tennessee, an ancient Hebrew inscription has been found which mentions the Israelite tribe of Judah!
Without a doubt, these various inscriptions firmly establish the fact that Israelites were in America long before the arrival of Europeans!

we destroying all these lies about us that's be in this forum lately read the tanach and The Apocryphal that's tell how the hebrews traveled to new land

    Ancient Hebrews in America
The Yuchis, an Amerindian tribe once native to Florida and Georgia , but presently of Oklahoma have a Legend which states they came from the Bahamas region , their island sank beneath the sea and they fled to the mainland. They are racially and linguistically different from their neighbors.

Every year on the fifteenth day of the sacred month of harvest, in the fall, they make a pilgrimage. For eight days they live in huts/ booths with no roofs, open to the sky, covered with branches, leaves and foliage. During this festival, they dance around the sacred fire, and call upon the name of ? .

The Jews have a very similar custom. In the harvest season in the fall, on the 15th day of the sacred month of harvest (the seventh month), they celebrate the "Sukkot: The Festival of Booths" . This festival dates back to the time of Moses and the Exodus from Egypt .

Dr. Cyrus Gordon, observed one of the Yuchi fall harvest festivals, listening to their sacred ceremonies and songs, he proclaimed to his companion, "They are speaking the Hebrew names for ? !" .

Apparently there is a connection between the Yuchi and ancient Hebrews , perhaps they a descended of seafaring Hebrews from the time of King Solomon, who hypothetically , along with their Phoenician partners came to America "The land of Ophir" in search of Gold and trade goods

The Book of Exodus describes a Hebrew (Jewish) presence in Egypt in the former Kingdom of Kush.

In the 9th and 10th Centuries B.C.E. Kings David and Solomon sought to expand Hebrew (Jewish) influence and trade throughout the Mediterranean, Egypt, the Arab Peninsula, the Horn of Africa and Persia.

The Bantu tribes of Southern Africa (where 40,000 members of the Lemba Tribe) still claim Jewish roots.

Jewish tribal groups in Senegal are the descendants of the Tribe of Dan. The Ethiopian Jews can trace their ancestry to the tribe of Dan. The trans-migrants established communities in renowned places as Gao, Timbuktu (where UNESCO still maintains notable archives containing records of its old Jewish community), Bamako, Agadez, Kano and Ibadan.

Jewish tribes have been situated in the heart of Africa since the dawn of recorded history. Ethiopia is mentioned in the beginning of the Biblical Book of Genesis, and there is no time in history when there were not Jews living there. From Ethiopia, they went west and south into the heart of Africa. Other Jews also migrated directly west from Egypt, entering Africa along the northern coast of the continent.

Starting about 300 AD, the Kingdom of Ghana began to be ruled by a dynasty of Jewish Kings known as the Za Dynasty. The founder of the Dynasty was a man named Za el Yemeni, who was descended from Jews of Yemen. He established his capital city at Gao on the Niger River, in what is now the nation of Mali.

According to the writings of Eldad the Danite, a famous Algerian Jewish author of the ninth century, Ghana was a Hebrew nation which followed the Law of Moses. The people of Ghana traced their roots to Jews of the First Diaspora of 600 BC, who were forcibly expelled from Israel by the Assyrians. In support of this, Eldad reported that the Ghanans possessed the Torah, which was compiled before the Diaspora, but not the Talmud, which was compiled in Jerusalem and Babylon much later, during the early centuries of the Christian era.

THE REASON WE AND THE BROTHERS FROM GHANA DID NOT HAVE THE TALMUD BECAUSE IT WAS FORCED ON US BY THOSE CALLED AMALEK WHO SIT IN THE SEAT OF MOSES THAT THE MASTER TEACHER WARNED US ABOUT IN THE GOSPELS. THOSE WHO SIT IN MOSES SEAT CALLING THE SHOT'S WERE AMALEK KNOWN AS THE JEWS OF TODAY AND SOME WHERE THE KENEITES WHO SNUCKED IN AND MIXED WITH THE HEBREWS they was the scribes

In the seventh century AD, the whole of Africa north of the Sahara desert was conquered by the armies of Islam. Subsequently, an extremely lucrative trade system developed with the Sub-Saharan Kingdom of Ghana. The commodities first traded were gold and salt. This led to the appearance of regular caravan routes across the Sahara Desert to various cities in Ghana. These cities became wealthy.

Shortly after the year AD 1000, the Kings of Ghana converted to Islam. Initially, the conversions were mainly for the purpose of fostering trade with the powerful Muslim states of North Africa, and had little to do with faith. But once Islam took root in the area, its impact grew inexorably.

The modern Ashkenazim Jew–converts (from Eastern Europe) has tried to absorb all the nations and say they are whole again and living in Israel – but that is not true…the 10 tribes of millions of people that are still scattered – (the U. S., the American Indians, the Chinese, the Indian Dalits, the Ethiopians, the Jamaicans…on and on).

The European Jew is a convert….the converts run the Nation of Israel. They converted 1100 years ago

The history of Black Hebrews in North America is perhaps one of the most important chapters in US history which has yet to be fully written. The ancestors of African Americans came from West Africa during the era of slavery. That particular region of Africa was once home to a number of Black Hebrew tribes that migrated from North and East Africa over many centuries. In speaking of these migrations, Dr. Yoseph A. A. ben-Yochannan writes that: "In North Africa, just before the period of Christianity's legal entry into Rome - due to Constantine "the Great" conversion in the 4th century - there were many Hebrew (Jewish) 'tribes' that are of indigenous African (the so-called 'Negroes') origin.

These African Jews, as all other Romanized-African of this era, were caught in a rebellion in Cyrene (Cyrenaica) during 115 C.E. against Roman imperialism and colonialism. This rebellion also marked the beginning of a mass Jewish migration southward into Soudan (Sudan or West Africa) along the way of the city Aer (Air) and into the countries of Futa Jalon and Senegal (Sene-Gambia) which lie below the parabolic curve of the Niger River's most northern reaches, where the City of Tumbut (Timbuktu, Timbuctoo, etc.), Melle (Mali) presently stands." ("African Origins of the Major Western Religions," 1970, p. 76).

Dr. Ben relates that Black Israelite immigrants from northern and eastern Africa merged with indigenous groups in western Africa to become the Fulani of Futa Jalon, Bornu, Kamen, and Lake Chad. They also formed the parent-stock of groups such as the Ashanti, the Hausa, the B'nai Ephraim (mentioned in earlier posts), and the Bavumbu (Mavumbu or Ma-yomba). All of these groups suffered tremendous population decreases during the years the Atlantic slave trade was in operation, others were completely eliminated.

Thus, every so-called African American has Israelite ancestry in their family tree whether he or she knows it or not. Even in the very crucible of slavery the descendants of West African Hebrew captives in America, struggled to keep their heritages from being obliterated by forced assimilation and acculturation. Their distinctive traditions became submerged in Christianity but always remained a part of the oral tradition via the so-called ? Spirituals which praise the memory of ancestors and kinsmen like Moses, David, Joshua, and Daniel.

Black Israelite groups are decentralized and varied in ideology. Unlike white Orthodox Jews, Black Hebrews reject the Talmud, a collection of commentaries, as being on a par with the Hebrew Scriptures (Bible) and so they do not conform to rabbinical judgments which emphasize the need of conversion to Talmudism in order to be considered "truly" Jewish.

Since the Bible recognizes patrilineal as well as matrilineal descent, Black Hebrews do not place any special significance on having a "Jewish" mother as do Orthodox Jews. Another major reason why the Talmud is rejected is due to its role in creating the so-called Hamitic Myth which is the doctrine that teaches that all black-skinned people are the cursed descendants of Ham in the Bible.

It was the promulgation of this erroneous myth, passing under the guise of "Jewish" talmudic scholarship, which provided the moral pretext for European slavery of Africans. The Talmud was not the product of ethnic Hebrews but of proselytized Babylonian sages who worked on editing it from the 3rd to in the 6th century A.D. It should not be used as the litmus test on Hebrew identity, particularly since it was of men who were clearly prejudiced of Blacks, Israelites or otherwise.

A major dilemma facing many Black Hebrews who wish to settle in Israel has to do with the Talmud and the fact that conversion is a mandatory prerequisite for gaining Israeli citizenship. The Black Jews from Ethiopian were not allowed to immigrate to Israel until they agreed to undergo a ceremonial conversion to white Judaism (which was tantamount to a denial of their own Hebrewness) and embrace the Talmud. However, many Ethiopian Jews, particular in the aftermath of the recent blood scandal in Israel, are seriously rethinking their decision to adopt the Talmud because it has not given them equal status with other white Israelis.

Ethiopian Jews occupy the bottom rung of Israeli society today because they are black and are not considered "true" Hebrews because of their blackness. Black Hebrews living outside of Israel wanting to join their Ethiopian brethren feel that the Israeli Law of Return is unjust because it forces recognition of a racist text (the Talmud) in order to be considered eligible for citizenship.

It is truly ironic that the descendants of the original Hebrews are not considered to be Hebrews even in their own land because they happen to look like their distant forebears.
