r.kelly has been a force for in r&b for 2 decades.not only to be labeled as the
marvin gaye of the 90's but,to have more #1 hit records than marvin gaye ever
did in his career speaks massive volumes.to reach those types accolades is
absolutely a remarkable achievement.american music awards and grammy awards,
everything that he has done, all the doors that he has open to pave the way for
r&b artists of today has been beyond measure.but, with stardom and and fame
comes ego and ego can really have a tremendous effect on your career if you
don't stay grounded.see,r.kelly likes to brag about how many of the 90's babies
that were conceived off of his music and, sometimes overexaggerate the extent
of his career by putting too much behind his past works.it never fails,in every
single interview that he has ever done in 10 years he has to talk about what
he has done in the 90's but, without being current to preserve what you did in the
past all you are is a washed up artist that used to be the ? .12 play was a classic,
the self titled album was a classic,R. was a classic,tp-2.com was a classic but,
what have you done lately? what have you done for today? the truth is as great as
a artist as r.kelly is,he hasn't had a #1 song or a #1 album in the past 5 years.
the truth is as much as songs like "your body's calling me" "seems like your ready"
are classics,he never wrote a single word of any of songs on his first album,
his brother did and, never got any money or credit for writing those songs.and,
im willing to bet that he wrote any songs for any of his albums, his admission
to not being able to read or write can contest to that.you can only brag about
what you have done in the past for so long, before the ? gets old and,
people don't care about what you did in the past because, you haven't made
the same type of efforts today and, thats where iam on r.kelly as an artist.he
really hasn't made a real r&b effort in a very long time.the double up album
is the absolute worst r.kelly album of his career and,he should have retired before
hand.we saw the best of r.kelly in the 90's-mid 00's,now we are seeing the
end of his career right now at this point.don't get it twisted your past should
represent you well as a human being.but if all that you are is the person that
you were in the past, then that means everything that you are doing now is
all for nothing.
