I was just thinking about this and I'm kind of at a stand still because each of these stations have incredible programming.
HBO: The Wire, Sopranos, OZ, True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Kenny Powers, and now Newsroom. Sunday's I have to be home by 8pm.
AMC: Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Walking Dead, The Killing, Hell on Wheels. In the early 90's all AMC used to show nothing but old movies from the 50's-70's but have really stepped up in the original programming dept.
F/X: Louie, Sons Of Anarchy, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, The Shield, Wilfred, Damages, The League, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, American Horror Story, Archer, Justified. A few years ago Nip/Tuck had me glued to the t.v. every episode, Christian was just that dude. Now Sons of Anarchy is probably the best show on the network imo.
Anyways which station do you think has the best programming?

Man thats hard cuz I watch so many of these shows......but if I had to it would be a tie between HBO (Curb, GoT, and Eastbound & Down & True Blood) and FX (Sons of Anarchy & Its Always Sunny and Archer alone.)

damn i forgot to put down GOT, just for that, and the wire HBO might edge out the other channels but im still torn

HBO has a better list....but me personally I prefer AMC.

HBO>>>>>All...
The difference between HBO and the rest is comedy....VEEP, Curb, Entourage, Larry Sanders Show, How to make it...etc -

i feel you just based off the strength of dexter and homeland, but weeds been fell off the big c is ok though -
I'm going to say f/x only because of sons of anarchy..that is the only show I will make sure I'm home for

AMC has the two best shows on TV at the moment, but I think HBO is the most versatile.
I'll pick HBO.

HBO.. outside of the many great shows with actors and such. Real Sports w/Bryant Gumbel, 24/7, New thought provoking documentaries, Real Time w/Bill Maher, Boxing, major stand up comedy shows, and with the HBO GO app you can watch every season of all those GOAT tv shows that are off the air now. Based solely on programming the major reason what they are known for, relatively newer movies unedited.
AMC will always have me recording something on Sundays and have come a long way earning my respect but every non premium channel is at a disadvantage when the creators of these shows don't have to shy away from nudity, cursing and how violent or obscene their shows can be. -
HBO, but AMC's come-up is very impressive...pretty much caught up with and possibly passed Showtime (Shameless, House of Lies, The Borgias, Californication, Dexter)
-
Amc done came up lately, but hbo kills ? hands down mainly on the strength of no commercials. Fx got some good shows, archer and rescue me used to be my ? .

HBOs the only network I keep up with. Wrote off Showtime when they fumbled Dead Like Me. FOX would probably be my number two. Drop a lot of the stuff I liked, but there's a lot of it.
-
Amc is also feeling themselves with the success of their shows. I see dish is trying play games by threatening to drop the amc network from its program. Must be a power play on somewhere.

Yall boys remember this...

AMC by far the shows you listed are still running, half them HBO shows are done already.

Not B.E.T.

My bad, I was talking about this show..
Arli$$ definitely had me wanting to be a sports agent. That life seemed perfect as a kid.
Btw why don't that funny talking ? make more Pimps up Hoes down documentaries.. them ? were classics.

on HBO you forgot about Boardwalk Empire...that show is Amazing
