Rumoured for some time now, Sony has announced today at its pre-TGS press conference that it will be releasing a new model of the PlayStation 3.
The new model is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the current model, and will come in two flavours: 250GB and 500GB. It'll also be available in two colours, white and black.
The black console will be out on October 4, while the white model will be out on November 22. Available on the same date will be a Hot Shots 6 bundle.
North America
250GB - $269 (Uncharted 3 GOTY/Dust 514 Bundle) - September 25th
500GB - $299 - October 30th
Europe and PAL Territories
Flash Memory 12GB - 229 Euros - October 12th
500GB - 299 Euros - September 28th
Japan
250GB - 24,900 Yen - October 4th
500GB - 29,800 Yen - October 4th

I paid $700+ almost $800 for my 80 GB PS3 when it first came out.... these ? got 250 & 500GB PS3s going for $269 & $300 yo this can't be life

thhey look cool.....but.....i got the original 60 gig fat....thats backwards compatible........and i threw a 640 GB HD in there....yep......I'm still winning....still got the best set up

lol ...... how much for a 64 GB Ipad? How much for an Iphone 5?
Anyway, we know the system cost $ 600, the extra is prob what he paid to get it. Don't know about Sion but it cost me over $ 800 to get mine. $ 599 for the system, about $ 230 to ship, plus customs duty. -

Anyway, we know the system cost $ 600, the extra is prob what he paid to get it. Don't know about Sion but it cost me over $ 800 to get mine. $ 599 for the system, about $ 230 to ship, plus customs duty.
two totally different things.....bruh of course the new iphone will be high as ? because it's high in demand......I know in places like where you are you dont have the luxury of just going down the street to get a new ps3 but gotdamn $230 for shipping? smh -

Actually, we can go down the road and buy. But since I'm in imports, it's cheaper for me to import it myself with other goods. $ 230 is the highest. I could have paid $ 80 for USPS which is 2 weeks, or a little more for FedEx or $ 230 for UPS which is one day to get here. -

I'm in Canada so stuff from the U.S. always costs more. I got mine in the first week it came out. With mine I got 3 controllers, 2 games (fight night round 3 & Armored Core 4), the memory uploader so I could upload PS1 & PS2 joints and an additional controller charger.
I'm in the Caribbean. Got mine with 3 games (Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Formula 1) and 2 controllers. -
if it ain't backwards compatible. whats the point?
