So its been a couple months, what did y'all think about the album?
I just downloaded purchased the album and gave it a listen yesterday and I wasn't very impressed. I was a fan of nostalgia, ultra, but this album was as good as some of the critics have been saying IMO.

It's one of those albums that had to sink in. I had to listen to it on a long 5 hour drive and I thought it was a masterpiece upon my third/fourth listen (minus the "I love dudes" songs, smh). But Pyramids , pink matter, super rich kids, sierra Leone, and Bad religion are my joints. Album sounds great when you're just in a "laid back, driving home from a long day at work" kinda mood.

A lot of people said frank's lyrics went over they head... Mine too, but once you're able to find out the meaning behind the lyrics you start to enjoy the songs more

Wow. Not a good vocalist? Have you seen him perform Thinking Bout You live? SNL? MTV Awards? Dont know what it would take to be a good vocalist for you. -

I know what a vocalist is b and that is not Ocean's strong suit.
With that being said, I can perfectly enjoy great artists who aren't strong vocally. But it's something that must be pointed out when talking about a SINGER. -

can you post a great vocal performance from Frank Ocean. not a great song lyrically or musically, but voice/performance wise? -
i really really enjoyed the album. it's progressive R&B to me, both in sound and content, and it's definitely something R&B needed this year. Bad Religion is a really deep song, my favorite on the album. Those lyrics shook me.
