.....There was once a Fat Cat. All day long it hung around the bigger jungle beasts in the Donkey Forest hoping to win their respect. Almost nobody in the forest liked the fat cat because she was so fat and middle aged and her best years were very far behind her. The only one who did was Midnight, the blackest creature that ever existed. They say Midnight was born out of the darkness of the enormous shadow cast by the fat cat’s blubbery body. This may be why he loved her so much. She was the kind of fat that only a son could love.

.....One normal day a sickly, pale animal with wretched paws entered the forest unannounced. The thing was unlike anything else the forest had ever seen. Its fur was damp from constant crying, and it’s body very small. It looked malnourished. It was not an animal that one would consider ready for life in the Donkey Forest. The fat cat immediately saw an opportunity knocking and took advantage. If the fat cat could maim this newcomer enough it would earn the respect of the other jungle beasts and then the fat cat would not feel so bad about being fat.

.....As the jungle beasts frolicked and wasted time in the Donkey Forest, the pale animal walked about slowly, examining the terrain and getting a feel for the environment. Before a good analysis could be completed though, the fat cat stood up in front of all the other animals and bellowed “Look at this new comer! It is the Religious Agnostic coming back for forgiveness!” All the other beasts laughed. The jokes began to pour. So did the foreigner’s tears. As she cried and wept the animals’ laughter got louder and louder. A sly smirk stretched across the fat cat’s face as it finally had felt it earned the other animals’ respect. It would finally become desirable to the others. But Lady Luck is a woman with no remorse for the obese.

.....Eventually the Chief of the animals had had enough and banished the newcomer for a thousand eternities. He told her to take her disgusting paws with her. The Fat Cat cackled with delight, thinking that more attention would be paid to her for her good work. But instead no ? were given. She was ignored and mocked as usual, and the Fat Cat lived its existence as a Fat Cat and died, having never amounted to anything more than a Fat Cat.
