im doing better than all my close friends from high school. 80% of them are still home, unmarried and have at least 1 kid. working sorry ass jobs.

I'd say 90% of the chicks I went to high school with, both high schools I went to, are single mother's now even though majority swore they wouldn't be so I do laugh at that...most the dudes though I can actually say I'm shocked some managed to not become a consistent ? up after high school...seen one dude who did nothing but smoke like he was auditioning for Bone Thugs N Harmony in school whose now a guidance counselor, got his master's degree and all that ? now...most folks I see/hear about though aren't doing too bad

@Dro- what the ? is wrong wit "just working" tho?....everybody aint gone take the same route to get where they want in life...i know more people that worked and struggled and came up, than people that went to school and got out and started some outstanding career.... -

My best friend from high school took a 2 year program right after to become a dispensing optician.
He finished his program and is making 45 K at the job he's got right now. In the spring he's going to take some part time courses and eventually work his way to getting his bachelors of science.
I'm in school workin fast food makin just over minimum wage while going to school. I done ? up b
I'm gonna get my BS before him but he's makin good money right now -

my close friends are doing okay. nearly all have jobs and are doing relatively well. only a few of them are getting married or are already married.
my less closer "friends" are more across the map. many have moved away. lots are married, some with children. don't know about any jobs, but one or two girls were local strippers the last time i heard.
i'm doing alright in life. i'd give myself a 6-7 compared to them. without comparison, i'd give myself a 7-8. i'm currently on the come up. things should be a lot better within the next 5 years, so it's a waiting game. *shrugs* -

According to facebook a lot are just working jobs, others are in college. Only a few dead or in jail. The dead or in jail ones i woulda been able to tell you that back in highschool tho sadly.

JUST WORKING MEANS DEADEND JOBS. EVERYTIME I SEE THEM, THEY HAVE A NEW JOB.. NOTHING A STEP ABOVE THEIR OLD JOB. -

I don't really know too much about my friends back in BK b/c I haven't been back in a while. I just know what I see on FB.
As far as the ones that I went to school w/ in NC I'm in the middle. School was small as ? (like 500 ppl in all & 85 in my graduating class. About half & half on race). Of all the ones that went to college right after HS I'm one of the few that made it past SO year. A lot of em including a couple who were in the top 5 of my graduating class dropped out after FR year. Some couldn't cut & a couple chicks got pregnant. I know a few dudes who've been killed & few doing state or fed time behind the dope game. A few of em graduated college & are back home teaching at our school or surrounding schools.
At the beginning of the Spring 10 semester I was only 3 semesters away from graduation but I had some health issues and had to withdraw from school on the advice of my doctor. It took about a year and a half before I got my health back. I've been working on re-entry but the school has been giving me the run around. Hopefully next year I can get started in finishing my BS so I can be in my way. I'll be 26 next week & I sometimes I trip on where I could be in life if those health issues didn't come up, but that's life & ? happens. -

Chicks def tend to blow up and be single mothers.
Alot never went to college or if they did they went to a community college and reality hit them.
In comparison, I'm doing pretty damn good, could be better. On a quest to always improve. -

in hs my career choice wasnt a porno star rapper, and thats the only entertainment opportunity I was offered. Whoever from hs who do not like my life choices, can kiss my ass. I'm doing better than most. People compare me with ppl i didnt grow up with or go to hs with. They compare me to people raised in different cities with other opportunities. They are not comparing me to the baltimorians I grew up with.
people can throw me in the category of "just working" dont phaze me one bit. I'm "just working" on a better life. I've always been striving to be a positive person, I'm not down for negative fame. When a bunch of negativity arrives it arrives for a reason, I tried entertainment it was too much negativity I let it go. I always had other career options. I write songs, and music all my life, my talent put me in the lane with entertainers, when I had a regular life, I wasnt really trying to be a celeb.
I was never stupid I always had a job sometimes 2 jobs and side a hustle. I know how to make it. -

what Iam tired of is people with high profile entertainment careers, calling people who work lazy, when most of them skipped past the average working class life. I guess they don't know how hard it is, it acutally requires more energy.
also everyone can not be a entertainer at the same time, because everyone life isnt designed the same. Some people do not walk the same trails. some people were offered better entertainment opportunities than others, and instead of them just chilling being grateful, they constantly talking about people who didnt get entertainment contracts. How about calling yourself lucky, instead of comparing yourself? they need to pat themselves on the back.
a deseperate entertainer down to sign any type of contract just for fame, always get played in the game. I rather work..and at this point I learned how to work for myself. -
