SG/SF Position comparison: Paul George Vs. Klay Thompson....who will be better/Who u taking?

Paul and Klay both are at the age of 22 , both aren't complete players yet and haven't tapped into their "Potential" .

Klay is 6'7 205 , while Paul is 6'8 221 ..

here are the current numbers

Paul George : 15 ppg 3 ast 6 Reb. , 41%FG 42% 3pt and 86% FT

Klay Thompson : 15ppg 2ast 4 reb. , 37%FG 32% 3pt and 78% FT

George runs the floor great , Good catch and shoot in rhythm guy ..also has very good athleticism finishes well..probably a below average ball handler though and struggles to create on his own ...some feel like he can become somewhat of a poor man's T-Mac due to his similar build and style of play .

Thompson , tends to be take many ill-advised shots ,also not an extreme Athlete ...has a good high release but very inconsistent with it right now ..has become somewhat a little better creating for himself, not a great defender ..Right now seems as if he'll become a one-dimensional type player who scores but may not contribute much in other area also he's better in a half-court set, Comes off screens very well.

Both guys games are still very raw (nh) and i feel like can potentially be consistent year in and year out 18-20ppg type guys the more they understand the NBA game and understand their own game....if you had to pick right now which one do you feel like is "Currently" better and also who do you think will be better down the road??

Another good comparison. I'm taking George all day though, well rounded game and Granger getting hurt might be good for his development....

George actually grow last year. They say he's 6"10. I didn't believe it but he was clearly taller then LBJ and Granger when I watched them play last year.

I liked Klay thompson alot coming outta college and i think hes better of the two right now, only ? paul george aint aggressive at all.

Paul George got the potential to be a top 10 current player with his offensive skill and the fact that he can lock up on D. Paul George should be puttin up at least 22 a night with no Granger in the lineup.

Yea Klay just doesn't have the all around game. he's more like Nick young good shooter to get you some quick offense, but really brings nothing else to the table.

But he doesn't break or shrivel....I've seen finish under contact multiple times and he's a natural slasher...so he drives to the rim frequently....his main flaw at this point is his assertiveness

Players who have a jump shot longevity is longer in the NBA. Take a look at guys like Jerry Stackhouse and tell me why he still in the league. Shooting is a fundamental many players in today's game don't possess because they rely heavily on athleticism. George has the skill to be the better player out of the two but with Granger out he hasn't proved his capabilities..just inconsistency.

Thompson can shoot and has proven he can ball against elite opposing stars in this league. Under a good system and pg he can average 17-19 ppg per game ceiling wise.

PG has more potential but i just have a feeling he's going to be one of those guys who doesn't max out. Even tho he's still relatively young dude hasn't shown any growth as a player as of yet. Klay on the other hand is already one of the top 5 shooters in the league and has a high IQ. He's not the best athlete in the world but he has a little craftiness.

Paul has no jumper and lacks the hunger to reach his ceiling as a player...with Granger out you would think he would be putting up consistent numbers but that's not the case. Too much athleticism not much IQ.
