Of course you have heard that starting QB Chase Mccoy was released from the team because of the ? charge right??? Well maybe you havent because the media isnt talking about it that much....and I wonder why???? If it was an African American starting QB, lets say Cam Newton his senior year at Auburn, how much would we have heard about this by now??? This ? is a terrible bias in todays media when white athletes run in with the law its swept under the table but let a high profile ? get a traffic ticket and its on the news before the ticket is written. Think im lying? How about starting LB Keith Brooking being in trouble for tax fraud? didnt know about that one either huh? lol when does it stop. And believe me these white QB's are getting hit with alcohol offenses left and right yet we hear nothing about it. IC what is your opinion?

There is a lot of ? that doesn't get talked about because of who the players are. Nobody cares about chase mccoy. But if it were Matt Barkley then yeah it would be a major story.

It's mostly black people in the tv media too. Self hate at its finest

That's like saying Black people "run every NFL team" just because most of the players are black.

Here's a photo of ESPN show producers calling the shots...

Chase Mccoy isnt exactly polarizing...so yall think if Tom Brady got into some ? they would just turn a blind eye? Lets take Javaris Crittenton for example black athlete who had been in trouble before gets a murder charge the media gave it a day and was done with it because he aint ? to begin with.

that's like saying white media producers squash crime related stories about average white players b/c they have a racial bias when it comes to reporting crime related stories...which is the same thing as saying the o/p is superficial ? . nobody made a big to do about ty law being caught smuggling ecstasy at the canadian border but they can devote plenty of coverage of brett favre facing charges for harassing text messages.

That's what you don't seem to understand about the media (or acting like you don't).

Brett Favre was not made out to be a "monster" from those text messages. In fact, within weeks of that story it was back to the normal ESPN "will Favre come back" circus that they did every preseason of his last 4 years in the league.

And a week after that he was on Wrangler commercials again fronting like he pushes a tractor all day when he's not playing football. There were no questions about his personal character or even doubts about his legacy.

It was just shrugged off like a joke even though he was a married man whose wife just fought cancer while he was slangin ? -pics.

There was also no witch-hunt from law enforcement. Alot of the stories about Black athletes are aggravated by law enforcement doing way too much to bring charges against the athlete.

And last but not least, there are no "sweeping indictments" when this happens with non-black athletes. Nobody looks at Matt Ryan or Tom Brady any different when Favre does something stupid. But if a black athlete ? up, now it somehow has something to do with "them ? ".

Old news far as I'm concerned.

According to the police report Jordan Hicks allegedly had sex with the girl and Case McCoy just watched.

And they were both suspended for the bowl game not dismissed from the team.

Also, Hicks is (at least half) black.

lol this whole argument is a ? snitch argument lol
its like when you got caught talking in class an you ask "well he was talking too"

the black athletes ? up. its not like they were innocent.
they got caught and they made a big deal out of it. who cares. they ? did their crimes to deserve it.

and btw how do you guys explain charles barkley?

This here...in this instance it's more of a case of Chase McCoy being a nobody. I mean Marcus Vick still doing dumb ? but nobody gives a ? because it's Marcus not Michael Vick. Yeah the media will go extra hard on a black star athletes, but it's not like they don't ? on major white stars too. Who doesn't know stories about Favre being a ? cheating husband or how they went in on Joe Namath after he ? up on live tv

Who cares about Casey McCoy??? When Ben R was going through his problems we knew about it bc he was known... Nobody gives a ? about hockey or Casey McCoy... I guarantee u if Tom Brady was charged for ? there would be nonstop media reports about it.

Nobody gives a ? about Chase McCoy....thats why you havent heard about him. I am sure there are nobody college athletes who ? up that are black that we never hear about.

But if you take a star of equal caliber the black athlete will get far more media hate than a white star would. You'd have all sorts of Skips and Maddens pulling on the cape and turning on the Bat Signal.

exactly...take johnny football for example. I ain't even know that cracka was arrested before, commentators never brought it up during his games and it was never talked about. compare that to a black athlete and it would be "yeah he's gifted but he's got character issues" or some ? . just look at cam during his yr at auburn....we knew about his past from the start thanks to commentators and analysts, and this was before the pay for play allegations

there are probably tons of athletes in college that got arrested for some kind of fake ID or underage drinking charge that nobody ever hears about.

but if you want to just look at the big name players then you have to consider another heisman hopeful, montee ball. who has been arrested and that wasn't really a topic during his games or discussions about him.

Actually his whole family is shady. He got a uncle that used drug money to fund rodeos and country music concerts.

    True story. lol
