Now don't get me wrong, on some levels there were certain rappers like Uncle Luke that made music for the strip clubs. There was a time when rappers made music specifically for the night club scene. Now in this era rappers are not only making music specifically for strip club play, but they are even shouting out strippers in songs like rappers used to do with athletes/actors etc. My question to the reason is do you think this is a good thing?

I dont have a problem with it most of the ? shout out are superbad and I would have never known they existed. So thats a win for me, like you said alot of ? got on or maintained from making strip club anthems. I recall watching a few interviews were ? said they got their start making songs for specific strippers.Too Short and a few others got on from making local D Boys custom tapes, I consider the stripper ? diversifying.

With that being said the Strip Club music videos that are for BET are played out and wack (not the Uncut viral ones) I would like to see creative visuals for music videos. Why the ? is Nicki Minaj doing a video in the Strip Club?

The strip club has way too much influence on hip hop. it used to be a small segment of hip hop but, lately it has become the main topic besides drugs. Every artist has to have a trap song and a strippa song. Granted those songs have their place in hip hop but, there is no balance on these albums... we need some conscious bars from the mainstream rappers also. Yes, I said mainstream because they are the ones that most kids listen to..

My only problem with it is rappers went from talking about just going to the strip club, maybe taking one or two back home to now ? talking about trying to save ? out the club, Lil Wayne and them "I dont tip I pay bills" mindset ass rappers who think it's cool to fall in love with strippers...most rappers now talk about strippers like they're wife material

The ? wasnt over the top.
He tricked like the average ? tricked but didnt make the ? a competition of wasting money.

We also got a classic song & video out of Mystikal's trickin

then it's the sales effect. with female consumers having more say in the market place you can't keep ? them out so the genre shifted fro ? hoes out to basically rapping about making hoes into housewives

Stripclub music has its place in the game. You had different type of music. Stripclub music, party music, kiddie raps etc. longside so called real hip hop.

Back in the day stripclub music was just that and these rappers that made that type of music had their own niche. It wasn't pushed as hip hop. Same with party rap. These n*ggas that made "Whoomp there it is" knew what their music was. These n*ggas had a big crossover international hit but after that you never heard of 'em no more.

Back in the day regional sh*t stayed regional like it was supposed to. I think the internet and emcees that got into the game to make a quick buck changed all that.
The lines started to blur around the late 90ties. After Master P and No Limit blew the bar was lowered to that extent that any act could come into the game as long as they beats to carry them and a '? ' or d-boy image to roll with.

These ? hoe, money and drug crazy... They dont have any substance, their music fits right into the strip club.

Its not like they are making music exclusively for strippers though, they just throw those three topic in every song, just to make sure we know what they stand for... Ax 2Chainz

Not looking forward to that. I hate when the strippers and the strip club culture got so big that you can't tell the difference between a club single and a stripper song anymore. Not to mention the tricking and simping of these lazy ass hoes that use their bodies instead of their brains, while people call them "wifey" chicks. Back in the day, you had singles that catered to all kinds of people. Now, if you ain't making hoes shake their ? , you ain't getting a release date, but that is changing thanks to K Dot.

Hmmm....well I guess it has a place but its become the dominant and its brought repetition and has gotten corny.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was occasional, or original but these ? are simply trying too hard.

The main issue I have with it is that these young girls out here and what goes in the mind of the kids who hear this stuff. That lil' hoe bragging about sucking Chief Keef off is indicative of what over saturation has created.

Every broad thinks she's a stripper or that she can use sex to become "somebody" now. Regardless of age, level of attractiveness etc. I don't believe that people mimic music but kids don't know any better, they don't know when its appropriate to do that stuff or the consequences of it.
