So Playstation Network is down for a 2 day update.

This is some ? , tried to jump online and I got the Sony Ent. Network is currently undergoing maintenance message. SMMFH Sony got the audacity to claim if you have logged on within 5 days prior to the start of maintenance you may be able to play. They do a horrible job of giving people a heads up about maintenance updates that ? should be highlighted on PSN days prior so I can know to keep my system on.
*Patiently waits for the Xbox 720 to be released.

The PlayStation Network is currently: Offline
We are currently performing maintenance to upgrade the software for the PlayStation Network from January 17-18th. This maintenance is scheduled to end around 9:00pm PDT (12:00am Eastern) Friday January 18th.
During this maintenance period, you may receive a message that states “Sony Entertainment Network is undergoing maintenance” when attempting to access the PlayStation Network, PlayStation Store, or PlayStation Home.
If you have signed in to PSN within 5 days prior to the start of maintenance (meaning: any time since January 12), you may be able to play games online and enjoy apps such as Netflix, HULU Plus and Music Unlimited during this maintenance period.
Note: During our current maintenance some authenticated users may have lost access. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working hard to restore access as soon as possible.

I have a 360. I use it to play movies and ? off my external hardrive because PS3 got Cinavia software which stops you from watching pirated content. -

Not anymore for me. My TV has a media player so the external hard drive plugs into the USB port and plays straight from there. Cinavia is only picked up by BR devices. -
