Dude's first hit was in 1989 with "Tomorrow" and he didnt really fall off until '97-'99 after "Back To The World". Thats almost a ten year run, which is a lot more than we can say for a lot of the revered 90's artist. He was co-signed by Quincy Jones, Prince and Babyface and dude could sing almost any male R&B artist under the table at like 13 years old. And he has a serious list of real classics/hits...no reaches...

Good question bruh, I liked his music I was a big Tevin Campbell fan cause he stayed on the radio.I was young as hell tho.. Didn't they say he was ? or somethin? If thats the scandal your speaking bout then I've heard thats what ruined him but I was never sure either.
I don't think Usher killed his career. It seemed like in the 90s all those R&B artist were eating. Didn't seem like there was anyone lookin to take anybodies spot but like I said I was young so maybe I just didn't see it, I just remember aaallmmooost every song that came on back then was on some "OH THATS MY JAM" type ? no matter who the artist was. -

Harsh reality right there. I jam his records, but as he got older that, sugar leaked out more and more. Then he got busted soliciting a male undercover officer or something. Killed his female fanbase dead. -

It just isn't the same ever since he came out the closet. I used to rock to Tevin Campbell and he had some serious songs that I used to fantasize about during my teenage years.But the songs just don't come off the same now that he isn't into Chics...... so I slid him off my list.
