rival do u mean closets to him in talent or resume/accomplishments?
when he was drafted it was Melo but Bron passed him easily... Kobe and him have been the 2 best so Id lean toward him. Durant came in late and has been the young gun compared to him currently -

Paul PierceThose regular season battles when both wade and james would drop 35+ were great. I still cant get over the fact that in 7 years they never played each other in the playoffs. But paul pierce is the closest thing to being his rival. Melo is 2nd

Not as exciting as the 2006 matchup but their statlines in this game are crazy....smh at Wade having to carry the likes of Jamario Moon, Diawara, Beasley, Chris Quinn and Jermaine Oneal to the playoffs....overall id say Wade was the only real rival till they teamed up...besides that, Melo gave him some good games as well -

Only person that has ever stopped Lebron was Lebron when he was mentally weak , but as for actual play nobody would be able to guard him ..not at no 6'8 260 moving like that , he's too strong and too fast.
