It's some pagan ? , worshipping multiple gods and what not. The rabbit and eggs = fertility.
It was so close to the Passover it ended up being mashed together by Constantine.

I beg to differ, how the ? do the eggs get hidden so well? These bunnies are GOAT at getting into small places where only children can get to, no ? . They run up in those places, lay a colored egg and leave.

The celebration of any period of time deemed holy seems archaic and depressingly redundant..societies are ever evolving..why slow down that progress by celebrating the same events year in and year out? Especially seeing how every major holiday has become commercialized and stripped of it's original meaning. Everyday is a holiday when you realise everyday is a holy day
