A new Cheerios commercial that stars a multiracial family has become the latest object of negativity on the internet.
It features a Caucasian mom, an African American dad, and their biracial adolescent daughter who just found out the Cheerios are good for the heart.
Since the commercial has came to the forefront, it has received tasteless remarks via Reddit and Youtube. A Youtube commentator literally called it an "abomination."
In 2013 with a bi-racial president already in his second term, it seems like some folks will never come to terms with crossbreeding and a bowl of cereal sharing the spotlight.

i could see this commercial causing uproar if it came out during the civil rights era....

I, on the other hand, was born with this gift--perhaps more of a curse--so it's as easy as distinguishing red from green for me.
Unfortunately, most of the world is colorblind.

I'm cool with the commercial. Its actually progressive, I support that. Considering there are millions of interracial couples in this country there's no reason for the uproar.
