c'mon son... what thug ? ? cornrows? lol...
c'mon son
Is he rockin' a Kneesus piece? -
Maybe now Jewelz will emerge....
For the year 2G the rap game change for one name/
Jewelz aim to slain anything on this plain/
Remains are found when the best kept and secret get heated/
You went platinum wit a ghost writer, so in the game you won you cheated/ -
He influenced a generation of young black youths in the late 90's/early 00's. he was tough and had a lot of heart. I just wished he got an opportunity to end his career on a better note.

Wow. Even blacks buy into the "thug" label. He didn't have the best attitude but thug is out of bounds IMO.
Relentless scorer...that pull up jumpshot with the slight fall away. I used to look at his number of attempts and be like WTF???
Took that team to the finals and spoiled the Lakers perfect playoff run with that Game 1 W. -
For the people saying he could have been better or he could have been a winner, y'all need to understand that his style and attitude towards the game is what made him so good.
He didn't give a ? and he was going to do it his way, and that "I'm above ? " attitude showed on the court. That's why he had no problem shooting the ball every time, while making a good amount of them and embarrassing his opponent. That's why he didn't shy away from his idol in MJ and crossed the ? out of him on some "he can't check me" ? .
And for the people saying his career should have ended better, y'all don't understand the ego and confidence that is needed to be a player of that caliber. Nobody of that stature is going to willingly come off the bench at ANY point in their career.
I guarantee if the Lakers told Kobe to come off the bench for ANYONE next year or ever he would curse them the ? out and demand a trade. The same thing with Jordan at ANY point in his career and various others. So what AI did is pretty standard. -
He was a great player who let his ego and immaturity be his ultimate downfall and the reason he never became as great as he could have been. As much as we saw from Iverson had he actually had the focus he could have been even better

Nope.. Kneeus got him late in his career. -
And lol @ AI being a thug. He was a regular black dude in the spotlight. Nothing less, nothing more.
-
I don't even know how NBA players do that ? .
They have a rigorous schedule where they're always traveling and hooping damn near every other day. Then in between games they have weight lifting, practices and before games they have shoot-arounds etc.
Their whole body has to be in some serious pain during and after all that ? .
Honestly if I was on some superstar ? where I carry the team every game, I would skip practice as well... or at the very most I would be on some nonchalant, going through the motions ? . -

TOO many heads frontin on AI in here -
AI repped a generation that had tons of potential, but could have done better. Kinda like the Jadakiss of the NBA.
-
Yall act like ? called Ai a thug for no reason..
"At eight years of age, Iverson witnessed his first murder."
"Iverson allegedly struck a woman in the head with a chair. He, along with three of his friends who are also black, were the only people arrested. Iverson, who was 17 at the time, was convicted as an adult of the felony charge of maiming by mob, a rarely used Virginia statute that was designed to combat lynching."
"Iverson drew a 15-year prison sentence, with 10 years suspended."

Nobody frontin on Iverson ? just being honest about who he was/is. He could have been more had he not always been distracted by ? off the court and alot of his problems were his own doing -

i mean dats true bout off da court issues but on dat 1st page its a lot of frontin, (top 35 player of all time, only could score by gettin a lot of shots up) dude was dominant on da court we'll neva see another player like him even tho he wasnt 100% focused he still averaged 27ppg for his career, 3rd all-time da way his career ended still frustrates me -
Iverson was thuggish lol...but he wasn't no criminal or anything....
He had the only shoes that could rival Jordans at the time(atleast in my state)......if you ain't see a pair of Jordans you would see some Iversons....
My 2nd fav player of all time.... -
Lifetime Sixers fan. I loved his toughness, heart and killer instinct. I hated his defense and lack of an off season improvement of his skills.
I won't get into the off the court ? bcuz
Erving,Chamberlain and Iverson are Philly's Mt. Rushmore. -
I wonder how many people out there have an AI Grizzlies jersey...

besides the thug ? , sounds like you're describing Kobe. -
One of the great players of his generation. But his legacy will forever be personified by his "me first" attitude and the "practice?" rant.
It wasn't about YOU getting better, it was about the TEAM getting better. Perfect example of a player who just never got it.
