Ok so heres what happened with my Maxima
I bought the car in July 2011 and it seemed fine, but in late 2013, i sensed some problems. I went o Nissan where my boy worked and he told me if I wanted to fix everything, including labor, it was around $3000. I didnt have $3000 at the time so he fixed the more important issues for me. With parts, it was about $1100. It was at that time that I noticed a hissing sound in my engine, near the battery. One day in April, my car didn't wanna start. I had another mechanic Ive known for a while look at it. He couldn't figure it out but he did say my car was working, but the speedometer didn't work and the break and engine light came on. That saturday i was going back to my boy at nissan, but of course, my car didn't start. I finally got it there and they looked at it and still couldn't figure out what the problem was. He told me to drop it off the next week so they could do more "work" to it. I ran some errands and drove the car home. That was the last time i drove it. The next day at 3am, I hear a banging on my door. My neighbor points to my car and this is what i see
in the morning

it will be two years this august since i paid my Altima off.
Think im'a just chill for a while -
Yea I was thinking, what if I drove the car when it caught fire? What if it was parked near another car or closer to a house? My neighbor said he heard an explosion and looked outside. Turns out the front right tired blew up. Had that not happened, who knows what could have happened to the car.

? works in mysterious ways. And he did you a favor use that money you're going to get and go comp a Mopar
-
I got lucky in other ways too, the car was worth 8200 and I already paid it off so I use like 3000 for a down payment on another car. I know it's not a sexy car per se, but it's reliable as hell: 2011 accord.
-
they gave you 8200?
my cousin buys a used car every other month and sells it. he bought a used miata for commuting an it got totaled.
he payed 1200 for it and insurance cashed him out 6200. Hes now in a 01 trans am that hes selling now.
But what a come up. -
Yea they did it based on Kelly blue book with the miles on it, that was the value for it
-
got damn toasty

2012 Honda Civic as of now.
I want Honda Accord Coupe, sexy as hell, sleek but basic too. Tesla like design.
Not thinking about switching for at least 3 more years though.
One day I would like me that Stingray, or Tesla, that's a high goal though. -
H have now bmw 540i
Wanna have bmw f10 in white color

I have a 2013 Subaru WRX sedan. I'm happy with it for now. Bought it new. Have a work truck that mainly drive. So keep it garaged and bring it out maybe once a fortnight.

i call it luxury on a budget, hope to keep it for a long time
if i wanted another, a goal would be to upgrade to "luxury for a ? with a REALLY good job"
or "rich ? luxury"

2012 Honda Civic. My first car since I was 24.
Next year, I want 2016 Honda Accord Coupe V6 Touring for my 28th birthday.
Slow and steady wins the race.
It's a lease under my business so gets written off as expense, ain't no thing.
Saving up on the site to get me a Corvette Stingray in the future... maybe 2020-2022 models, in between.
