But there are black producers who have the power to put out different diverse genre's of film, they simply don't. To be fair, it's not their specialty, I can't see Tyler Perry branching out, and if he did, it would probably be ? , unless he simply backed someone with potential and let them do all the work.
I wonder how many blacks would be interested in predominantly black sci-fi and fantasy movies. That would be another problem, their not sure how big of an audience it would draw. -

You have to look at the market for it as well. As much as I hate Tyler Perry movies, every time he drops one of them ? , we as a community run in droves to the theaters to see that ? . Hollywood sticks with what makes cents. A Black movie that is different from what is currently marketed to us would have to be supported in large numbers by us to even get that run. But that's the problem: as a whole, we're not up for supporting positive, non coonish ? about us. True story
