These the greatest shows I've seen, but I've never watched The Sopranos and have read on here that its the father of the anti hero type program.
I've also seen many debates over whether The Wire is better than Breaking Bad...so lets settle it.
BWEmpire hasn't finished and may go on for a few more seasons but anyone that watches it should be able to make a decision.

Boardwalk EmpireBased on 4 seasons, there is a quality to BWE that just edges out the other shows for me...maybe because its a period drama, based on a real life events...IDK. I feel like more effort goes into this show than the others, The Wire being the exception.
BB was goat tho and left me satisfied with the final ending.

All are great but SOA is last because season 2 was so wack and because every season seems like it has 2-4 episodes where ? really gets bogged down.
The Wire just made me feel the most so I had it number one, but very close behind are BB and BE. All are great shows that are hard to criticize. BB and BE are interchangeable to me. -

This. Solid show but its not in the league of the other 3. I've said it time and time again, and will continue to say that there are very few shows on tv that are as ambitious and complex as the wire was. And ironically the only other show I've seen that comes close to it is boardwalk empire, which is my 2nd favorite from that list. I mean obviously they are about 2 different things. But the reason I made the comparison is not only do those 2 shows share some of the same writers, but BE structure is similar to TW. And by that, I'm referring to the sprawling narrative and the large ensemble cast of characters that the show focuses on. -
The WireLol I love SOA but that show has no business being compared to the other 3, especially Breaking Bad and The Wire.

Like the finale put people off as well. And in the end it just seemed like the whole point of the series was "the mafia is all fun and games until you get wacked or put in prison" -

Breaking BadTo me breaking bad and the wire are 1a and 1b. If someone pick one over the other I wouldn't be mad. I think having a character like Walter white lifted breaking bad just over the wire but I'm glad I was able to watch both as they happened.

season 2 was whack? you're out of your ever loving mind. that is easily the best season. season 3 was the whackest one.
and Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire are interchangeable? what in the holy hell? they dont even compare, at all. -

The WireTo be fair, I've seen less episodes of Boardwalk Empire than all the other shows. But I have watched all the ones listed.
