Is it safe to say that it's time for Georges Saint-Pierre to call it quits?

Even though I really feel bad about him having to focus on defending the title against formidable opponents despite all the trouble going on in his life, it's clear that he is losing ground. After changing up his style and going for the defense, he is losing fans for not bringing the ruckus and grinding his way to decision wins. He is simply becoming a boring fighter.

But that's not why he should call it quits, definitely not. It's great that he outsmarts his opponents by using careful tactics ultimately leading to him winning the match. It is on the other hand because of his performance slowly being on the decline.

An interesting statistic is that Georges has taken more punches and kicks in the last three fights than any of his fights, ever. In fact, 50% of the shots he's taken his entire career were in the last three fights.

What do you make of this? Are we currently witnessing the downfall of a giant?
