Yeah, by default mostly. His only real comp at that position is Wade and Kobe. Both of which gimpy as ? .
He got a couple youngins' on his heels like Klay Thompson, but they haven't really made that next step of consistency.
There would be no question if he just managed to put more effort on defense. -

Yes. Wade plays once a week, Kobe out. But the man is a DH doesn't play D (young Kobe would lock down dudes) and his efficiency isn't great right now.

Hell nah. Paul George and Wade (even in his washed state) are still better to me. Kobe will also come back better.

Wade and kobe are still better overall even in their states.
Both are better two way players than harden with Wade being the best two way player out the three. Harden has wade in Three point shooting but Wade has harden in defense, FG% and he and kobe have that killer instinct I havent seen from harden yet.
I wonder how harden would be if he didnt get to the line as much as he did..

I mean you have a few players who don't really have positions who play like SG's. Curry and Westbrook have PG next to their name but they play more like shooting guards. I like Paul George better, I like Wade when he plays better, Kobe can do whatever you ask him to do on a per night basis besides defend. What Harden have the other night against the Thunder? 8 points? Can anyone tell me a big game Harden performed well in as the number #1 guy on a team? He is a top 20 player in the league though.

His lack of defense can not be overlooked. I also need to see better performances in the 'offs from him. I'll still take Raggedy Wade at this point.

klay's defense has improved tho
but ill take kobe and wade over harden in terms of being the best 2 guards. harden got one foot in the top tier and one in the 2nd tier next to guys like monta imo -

Klay depends on curry to set him up with spot up jumpers... He posts up every blue moon. Harden is a more complete player

lol harden does not play every game, dude has his share of health concerns, i get wat u sayin tho but ion think harden has done enough to surpass, like others have said, he does disappear in big moments and his defense leaves more to be desired, and me personally i get sick of watching him just run down the court and aimlessly barrel into people

I think of Paul George as 3 as Lance plays the 2 - but if he counts then he's better than Harden
