Why play club remixes on radio so often?

This is the biggest thing that i don't like about the main radio station here in Atlanta. At 7am they play club remixes of popular songs and they do the same at 12 noon 5pm and 9pm and repeat on weekends. Also they just recently started playing doing slow jam remixes at 10pm Sundays.
Is this the way that it's done in all urban cities?

Hell, I don't know, probably. Since most radio stations are owned by Clear Channel, it's safe to assume that all have the same format. Just go on various stations websites and check their playlists to confirm your suspicions.

what do you mean by club remixes? where i'm from "club" is a subgenre

Something like this

where the music is played back to back with no breaks. I'm all for playing back to back music but i prefer the studio version instead of the club version. It gets monotonous when they do it every single day even on the weekends atleast IMO.
