"Days of Contrast is a production duo consisting of Trebles and Blues and No Alias. After making music together for almost four years, the duo has completed their first official project, titled When Life Was Simpler.

The title of the project can convey multiple meanings, but ultimately, it is a reflection of the times in which we place little boundaries on what we can accomplish and do. Whether these feelings were strongest when we were younger or resonate deeper as we grow older, this project emphasizes the moments in which we find simplicity in this ever-complex world. "

The opening track, which is definitely the outstanding listen of the six-track outing, 'We're a Melody', has your head nodding from the start, with the following track 'And then there were Two', sounding like a Japanese/Oriental influenced beat. The oriental flavour matches their chemistry perfectly and continues somewhat on the follow up, 'A New Leaf'. The beats and general sounds are perfectly mixed. I can't recommend this listen enough, although I think it pales a bit towards the end... at just six tracks in length, it's easy to find yourself re-listening to the project and the switches in the flow are perfectly performed.
